I read an interesting post recently by Fortune. She has started a new challenge to name fiver random facts about yourself. If you missed it you can read it here: Five Random Facts About Myself
Most of you know a lot about me. Not sure what to add but here are a few things I thought of for now.
1. Played the clarinet in middle school and high school band.
2. Cheesecake is one of my guilty pleasures.
3. We made mud pies growing up. Living in the country had its benefits.
4. The DM in my user name stands for Dustin’s Mom. Always and forever.
5. I swam in a pond with alligators. Yes I knew they were there. If my brother did it, I followed him.

I was too busy last days to comment on any post so doing this now. You really surprised me, dear. Swimming with alligators… I would not dare even in childhood. You are brave.
I am not going to do this challenge but I will share a fact about me. I speak sign language because my parents are deaf and I also am a Sign Language Interpreter.

Two important events in my life! The alligator story is one most do not believe, trust me, it is true!
I have not decided yet to join this challenge. I am trying to think of 5 facts that I haven’t already mentioned elsewhere on the Internet. I’ve been on the Internet since 2007. I’m afraid if I list 5 facts somebody might accuse me of plagiarism. LOL.

Today I get to speak for myself. You truly are the Queen of Virily. You go out of your way to make people feel welcome. Through all the ups and downs you are the lighthouse that keeps us on track. I don’t have the words to explain how grateful I am that you have become a part of our extended family. We chose you.

You my dear are an open book. I had the same thought. What would I share that I haven’t already. I knew all five of yours. I remember the story of you and your brother, and all the others, you have mentioned in our talks across time. I will join, it may take a few days to think of something to write that most don’t already know.

Oh my, this made me laugh outloud! My brother was smart, he swam faster than I did. I was just lucky to get ahead of the gators.

kay jumped in the water where she saw a manatee and I saw an alligator in that water. I nearly died that day and even the police would not jump in to get her out. I lost my mind screaming for dear life. I whooped that child good when she got out of that death water.
I swam in the pond often! And lived to tell about it. My crazy brother.

Yes I knew many would not believe the sone but it happened many times actually. Surprise!
I had no idea that there’s a term like mud pies. As children, we used to make “mud soup” and “grass soup”. We banged pieces of grass with a stone and added water to it to make the green liquid, lol.
Yes, we made mud pies and patties! And picked blackberries and so much more. The good ole days.
