Carol's Backyard Bird Quiz ~ September ~ UPDATED!

Decided to start another backyard bird quiz. I will try to do one each week. This time I will share only one bird for each quiz. And share trivia about that one species. I have many backyard birds and would like to share them with you, along with some interesting facts about them. I realize many of you have not seen these birds. Hopefully you will be interested enough to play along and maybe learn something.

Ready, let’s go!

  1. Hey that was fun! Although I don’t know this bird at all, I managed to get 5 out of 8 right, and learned lots. Thanks, Carol, I’m looking forward to more like this 😀

  2. I didn’t remember the name of the bird, I got one wrong, the second question. Good quiz and yes I would love to see one of these a week in here. 🙂

  3. 5/8 correct not bad for some one who does not know anything about american birds..

Cats are one of the worst predators on birds in New Zealand, but other predators are introduced pests, rats, mice, opossums, dogs, people, plus introduced birds..plus ferrets, stoats and weasels…that were brought in to bring down the rabbit population another introduced pest.

You see, that New Zealand had no people or no mammals except for marine life..The birds had no predators.
