I sent the updated Community FAQ to the admin team. Hopefully, they will respond. I did ask them to verify and validate what we as a community, believed to be true! I will let you know if I hear from the team!
One of the things I’ve been doing over the past few days is trying out a headset from Polycom (actually the company is called Poly now.) I will share a review in the next couple of weeks.
I’ve been considering things to get rid of and things I don’t use anymore. Does anyone have a system that works? My old system was if I don’t use it in the past year to get rid of it, but that meant I got rid of most of the things I don’t use as often. All that is left are things I use on occasion. I guess based on that I need a new system.
Today’s hodgepodge is over, the wander project permeates my mind sometimes, and I wander all over the place.
Yesterday I was driving through the back area of where I live, watching the hay rollers. Back in Indiana, I used to occasionally bale hay and move those bales to the barn. Watching them create great big rolls of hay were incredible. On the way to work, there were four in the field, when I drove home, there were 12 in the field, and I have to say it was amazing. I pulled over and watched for a couple of minutes on the way home. What a cool machine. Farmers have cool tech that is for sure!
I remember my dad’s tractor, and it was pretty low tech: just a steering wheel and a mower attachment. Now tractors have GPS, touch screens and multiple other technologies including in some cases Satellite radio!!! My grandfather had a smaller tractor, but he also had a trailer hitch on it. That way we could pull the boat down the hill and put it into the lake every year.
My apologies for today’s hodge-podge tech column. Will let the community know if things change or I hear about update FAQ!

I have never seen a digitised tractor. I’m curious how the advanced technological tractors look like.
The admins haven’t yet responded? Or, was it to be expected? But the good thing you sent them our hopes. In time, they will work on them.
they use GPS to direct the overall movement of the tractor. Reduces the amount of fuel burned!
That is interesting. I don’t know when such tractors will land in my country.
They may soon, they may not. It depends on the economic issues the world is having right now
Thank you so much for your efforts in the matter of Virily Community FAQ, very appreciate it & also hope to their response!!! As for tractors – you can watch old in many Russian villages.
i love old tractors. They are cool! We will keep pushing for a better Virily!!!!
I live in the countryside so I see a lot of farm machinery. Some machines are super modern, but some are just like your dad had.
i remember that tractor fondly! it was very important to my dad.
I have seen a few old NZ tractors………….
I love old tractors! I have a friend that used to collect them!

Beautiful picture, thanks for sharing.
sorry, the picture had nothing to do with the post.
how about if you have more than one of something and you haven’t used it in over a year, then you can get rid of it? that way you still have at least one…
That is an interesting idea. of course I have 8 hard drives lined up that all have backups of various things.
then you’re still using them…
Back in Latvia when we drove along country roads we could see lots of different farming machinery.
I was on the backroads. I bet the view was amazing in Latvia!
I was about to comment it was a hotch potch post and you have said it already?
There is no hard and fast rule what to discard and what to keep. Some things are meant to stay permanently. Some have sentimental value and some ‘what if I need them’ kind of.
i have been trying to find the right balance. I do have sentimental things.
I have a photo or a road filled with palay for drying.
what is palay? Not a name I’ve heard before.
I live in the countryside and see all the machines … from museum specimens to state-of-the-art tractors and harvesters
You shared pictures of some before – probably what made me stop yesterday and watch!
It is a great pleasure for you to get the idea to publish a post from my pictures, dear friend
🙂 you are an inspiration! 🙂
It makes me happy and thanks for the kind compliment, dear friend
In my childhood, Bulgaria was in the camp of the USSR … At that time, people in the country had no choice and agriculture was state-owned.
i remember those days. It was a hard time in many parts of the world.
Cannot picture you baling hay. I miss the farmers in the field that is now covered with houses behind me. But I grew up around farms and tractors.
it has been more than 30 years since I last bailed hay. I guess at this point there are many more years when I didn’t bale hay, than the 5 years my parents did hay on the farm!
I keep things longer than a year; but I have been purging a LOT of stuff and giving it to Goodwill.
We make a monthly trip to goodwill!!!
First off, I didn’t know Plumbago flowers came in white. What a pretty picture. To answer your questions, yes to all three.
well you are ahead of me, i didn’t even know what kind of flowers they were!
I have seen the Russian red tractor .
they are amazing are they not?
