The most studied planet in our solar system is Mars. It is a planet that is believed to have contained life form many years ago (according to scientists billions of years ago).
What has drawn fascination about this planet is the thought that there was a civilization that existed on the planet. Who were the people/creatures behind the civilization? The green eye people, the aliens. It’s not yet known whether they exist but conspiracy theorists believe there are structural evidence that prove there was an advanced civilization that existed on the planet. Whether the civilization ‘died’ or exists is still unknown.
NASA hopes by 2030, it will have created the conditions necessary for humans, plants and animals to live there. This is disputed as there is the belief that Earth is the only planet that has the right conditions for life to exist.
Well, each one of us has reservations about this planet. Let’s see how much you know about this Martian planet.

I got two incorrect. The two that are probably the most important. The size and placement. Ugh. Great quiz here!!
Thank you, Kim. With only two to reach the total marks, it is a great score.
Yes, the two most important facts about Mars is it’s placement and size.
At least I know the direction… UP! lol
???…that is a fact that isn’t difficult to notice or get confused.
Pats myself on the back. 😀 True!
11 out of 13 is great…interesting quiz
Thank you, Snezana. It’s a great score. Congratulations.
Super quiz. I know something new again. You got 9 out of 13 right!
Thank you, Vidocka. That’s a good score with only four to reach 100%.
Loved your quiz and got 9 right
Thank you, Rasma. With only four to go to reach 100%, it is a good score.
please tell me you aren’t one of those Pluto isn’t a planet people…
Hahaha…Pluto isn’t a planet so the scientists said. It doesn’t meet the criteria to be called a planet. But, I love Pluto. I don’t know why they diminished its value.
NASA walked it back a few years ago and they claim Pluto is a planet. you want to argue with them?
Really? I didn’t know that. I can’t argue with NASA on facts such as that since I barely know enough to be even called an amateur astronomer.
Why did they bring it back in the league of planets?
they didn’t say, but my guess was the Voyager 2 flyby…
It’s good to know that. I do have a liking for Pluto.
I failed. LOL but it was an interesting quiz, though 🙂
But you tried, Maria and learned some things. Thank you and thanks for taking the quiz.
I got 11 out of 13. I learned a lot. thanks for shearing this post
With two to go, you did great Nabi. Thanks for taking the quiz.

Great quiz, I like these types to learn about our space!
Thank you, Carol. I’m glad you enjoyed the quiz. Quizzes teach us a lot of things.
11/13, so great set of different knowledges about Mars, just wonderful!!! Thanks very much for sharing!!!
Thank you and thanks for dropping by. I’m glad you enjoyed it and that’s a great score, Anastasia.
12/13 perfect you rock. Well it wasn’t perfect but yes it was a good score. Great quiz again.

Always for you Introvert.
You got 9 out of 13 right!
Great
You did great. Congratulations.
Very poorly performed. Interesting quiz
Thank you. Don’t worry, so much is unknown about Mars.
Good job on the quiz. I did miss 10, and would probably disagree with your answer for that. but it is your quiz!
Thank you. It’s okay, Doc. You can challenge the question because if it isn’t a fact, it can be challenged which will be beneficial in straightening what isn’t correct.
Scientists believed Mars had a magnetic field when it was young. It’s still disputed whether the planet has magnetic field.

Yes the argument has to do with the size of mars and the core of mars.
Great quiz pal!
I got 12/13, but would question whether your answer to Question 10 is strictly accurate.
There is still no universal agreement whether Mars has a magnetic field. It is believed the planet has a magnetic field when it was young and theories abound why it lost its magnetic field. There was a research that was done which noted mysterious magnetic field pulses were discovered by Insight lander. The findings is still disputed.

The question seems to be over whether it has a partial magnetosphere that operates in some areas but not others. There is no doubt that it does not work in the same way as Earth in this respect.
