Who doesn’t love pandas? They are cute animals I would wish to have one as a pet though it’s not possible.
Sadly, they are listed as endangered. It’s estimated 1,000 pandas are alive in the wild.
Their habitat is in southwestern China.
The females start producing when they are 6-7 years old. The cubs stay with their mothers for 18 months before they become independent of their mothers. The size of a cub when it’s born is around 15cm which has been compared to the size of a pencil – 1/900th of the size of its mother.
They can reach to a height of 6 feet and weigh more than 160kg.
It’s not yet known how long they live in the wild. It’s estimated between 15-20 years. In captivity, their lifespan is 25-35 years.
