Bluebirds are probably my all time favorite bird of all in my backyard. Their blue color is stunning. I get the pleasure of providing a home for them in the spring and they raise at least two bluebird families. I get to witness the entire process as some of you know. I also see them during the winter. I have to keep fresh water out for them and they will visit year round. Keeping the fresh water out for other birds also increases your chances of them returning in the spring to raise their babies. Nature is amazing.
This photo was captured in my backyard. The bluebird was sitting closely the nestbox full of babies. A wonderful time for all.

Lovely picture. Yes, they are stunning birds aren’t they?
Thank you Maggie, yes they re so special as well!
They arrive far and long and they prefer guava trees mostly they pick on fruits. Is that right?
That sounds right but I do not have guava trees here. They do enjoy fruit and berries.
Any wildlife magazine would be honored to feature this shot. 🙂
I agree, this shot would be great in a wildlife magazine!
Thanks Courtney, now to find the magazine you and Kim speak of. 🙂
You are so very kind Kim.
You could enter contests. Smithsonian has one until Jan 2019.. Nat Geo always has some, Triple AAA has many..just a thought!
Haven’t seen it in my own eyes, only dream about it!!!
They are a dream for sure, too bad you cannot see one.
Every time I see a bird whatever color I remember you…
How kind, that is a huge compliment.
Your photo and story are amazing but I have never seen it in reality. We have a zoo, maybe there I can watch it.
Not sure if you would see one at a zoo or not, hopefully for you should see it in person.
Gorgeous capture! My only chance to see them is thanks to your beautiful photos.
Thank you Ellie. I love these birds as you know.
I was not lucky to see this beautiful bird
Sorry as it is the most beautiful blue.
I suspect that bluebirds will reach unheard of prominence in Narnia, under your regime…
You know that is the truth.
those guys would be hanging out at Cair Paravel all the time
Bluebird is really a wonderful bird
Yes indeed it is in my world.
The bird is beautiful, but who put the name tag on his chest?
I did that my friend. A copyright symbol, I am claiming him for my own. 🙂
I was only joking, Carol. Thanks for your smile.
By the way, The Bluebird looks cool to become a flight attendant in that uniform.
I know, you always try to make me smile. Ha!
Glad to see an eternal smile carved up there.
Gone away is the bluebird, here to stay is the new bird!
Another good one Doc. You are good. 🙂
Never had the fortune to see them … but well, at least I see and get to know them from your photos! 🙂
They are not everywhere but thank goodness they come visit me. Very special birds to me as you know.
Of course!!!
I guess they feel your kindness that’s why they keep coming back!!
I have to believe that. I always feel my son close when I see one.
That is a lovely photo, Carol. I love bluebirds. They are such beautiful little birds.
Thank you, I was honored to get this photo from my deck.
Well done! Great pictures!
Thank you very much.
That shot is gorgeous, Carol!
Thanks, it is one of my all time favorite shots.
Yes, they are regular visitors in front of our dining room window.
All aren’t you the lucky one to see them.
Really beautiful bird, I enjoy watching her.
I absolutely love these birds Robin.
