Parrot ~ Color Crazy

Sharing this photo with Kim’s Color Crazy Challenge.

Was visiting a Pet Smart store looking for cat treats the other day. Saw this parrot asleep in the cage. He was beautiful with all of his orange, yellow and green colors. I don’t like seeing animals in cages but sometimes it cannot be helped. I was told his pretty parrot was being adopted. I hope he goes to a good loving home. All animals deserve a good home.

Enjoy nature photography. Amateur self-taught photographer and love every minute of the photos from my yard and Dustin's garden. Sunset views from my deck are very peaceful to watch, capture and share. I have two cats, Brendel and the Dude. I share both special and funny moments I capture of them with you.

Also enjoy seeing and reading your posts from all over the world.

  1. Lovely Parrot photo. I have little Louis our budgie, he is adopted from Bird Rescue. I got him when he was 2 years old, he is 11 years going on 12 years, he will be 12 years in October.
He is a delight to have and I let him out several times a day to fly.

If you let a budgie go in New Zealand they don’t live long and the other birds will kill them. That is why I don’t mind having a budgie.

  2. We’ve had 4 dogs and several cats which we adopted. Our current dog we adopted about 9 years ago and he’s now 14 years old which is very old for a 90 pound dog. His health is failing and we don’t expect to him to survive the summer. We won’t be getting any more dogs because walking them in winter is too difficult.

  3. It’s a very spectacular photo, dear. I do not own any animal. In childhood, we had a few dogs, but all of them died when the time came. I remember how it broke my heart. Then I simply did not want to have one more to see how he dies. When my children were little, we had at home a big aquarium with fishes. It was so relaxing, but now, when we so much travel, we decided not to keep any animal at home. But the most beautiful animal for me – a horse. Of course, not to keep at home 🙂
