Was visiting a Pet Smart store looking for cat treats the other day. Saw this parrot asleep in the cage. He was beautiful with all of his orange, yellow and green colors. I don’t like seeing animals in cages but sometimes it cannot be helped. I was told his pretty parrot was being adopted. I hope he goes to a good loving home. All animals deserve a good home.

One of my dogs was treated so badly that I bought him off from his owner for a price that is much higher than the price at the pet store. I felt that he deserved a decent life.
Wooow, It’s a beautiful parrot. My favorite pets are cats.
We only had parakeets yesterday when I went to the Pet Smart here. That bird is so pretty. I do have a favorite animal. The cat, followed closely by dog, then bird, then lizard, the fish. lol My pet list…
I loved this one and so happy to hear he has a new home. Good list you have.
Aww, I love the picture of that parrot. I do hope he gets a home soon. If I lived nearer, I would adopt him. Yes, I have adopted a dog before.
Thank you, he really caught my eye with his beauty. Glad you adopt as well.
well you know the answer for me. I love my dog.
And your dog loves you too Doc.
He does. Thanks for sharing the very cool parrot!
You are always welcome.
i have a canary at home. I love listening to his songs.
I had a friend that had an African parrot and he talked to her.
Lovely Parrot photo. I have little Louis our budgie, he is adopted from Bird Rescue. I got him when he was 2 years old, he is 11 years going on 12 years, he will be 12 years in October.
He is a delight to have and I let him out several times a day to fly.
If you let a budgie go in New Zealand they don’t live long and the other birds will kill them. That is why I don’t mind having a budgie.
You have had Louis for awhile, good to hear Pam. Too bad the other birds would kill him. Glad he has a loving home.
Yeah , we have adopted goat , Chicken , pets , Cow but 20 year ago.
Good to know you love animals too.
We’ve had 4 dogs and several cats which we adopted. Our current dog we adopted about 9 years ago and he’s now 14 years old which is very old for a 90 pound dog. His health is failing and we don’t expect to him to survive the summer. We won’t be getting any more dogs because walking them in winter is too difficult.
Same here Gary, lost many dogs and a cat along the way. Wow that is old for a dog. I hope your dog survives longer than the summer.
my mom rescued a red chow dog, which I took care of before I went off to university
A neighbor had a chow growing up and I was always so afraid of him, until I got to know him and he was a sweetie.
That is a colourful parrot. I too do not like birds being caged.
We have had countless pets cats and dogs but Preiti gave me a lot of happiness with her behaviour
I thought he was beautiful and so happy he has a new home!
Love that colorful parrot but sometimes they make too much noise. I still consider my 13-year-old cat Sid to be my fur baby.
Thanks I loved him as well, hopefully he he a new home. 13 is a nice age.
Very nice parrot … I hope she found a good owner who will take good care of her
I thought so too Lado, glad he found a home.
Hopefully the best … have a nice weekend, dear Carol
Beautiful parrot, yes my in-laws have pet talking parrot but it flew .
I thought so too, that is too bad he flew away.
Beautiful bird! I don’t like cells either! Hopefully good adopters are found!
I thought so too, thanks Georgi. A happy ending.
I was told by a worker that a family had adopted the bird.
It’s lovely even when its sleeping! LOL
I love my cousin’s pets … dogs and rabbits!!
I can’t have a pet … so I could only play with hers.
Yes I thought so too. I have wild rabbits in the yard, they are fun to watch.
I miss my dogs I had in my life and lost. But I enjoy my cats now.
Things comes and goes…
Now, You have your very entertaining cats with you!
It’s a very spectacular photo, dear. I do not own any animal. In childhood, we had a few dogs, but all of them died when the time came. I remember how it broke my heart. Then I simply did not want to have one more to see how he dies. When my children were little, we had at home a big aquarium with fishes. It was so relaxing, but now, when we so much travel, we decided not to keep any animal at home. But the most beautiful animal for me – a horse. Of course, not to keep at home 🙂
Thank you so much. He was taking a nap it seemed. I have lost dogs along the way and cats as well. Never had a horse but grandparents did.
That’s a gorgeous parrot and a nice capture. Every one of our dogs has been a special pet. Each one had a different personality and was very special to us. I miss them all.
Thanks, he caught my eye for sure. I have lost many pets in life as well.
