There is more water on earth than land. In fact, oceans cover 70% of the earth’s surface. Sadly, we don’t know much about the oceans that surround us especially the deepest parts of oceans. We only have 5% knowledge of oceans. We know Mars and moon more than the large bodies of water that surrounds us.
Hopefully, scientists will come up with better technological equipments which can be used to observe and carry samples with ease.
The little knowledge we know helps us appreciate the beauty of our earth. So, how much do you know about the ocean.

8/12, very curious quiz!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!
An interesting test! I had 3 mistakes but I think it’s not bad. I was surprised to know about waterfalls under water, googled for the details. There are 3 underwater waterfalls.
You did great on the quiz. Congratulations. I only knew there were two. Thanks for letting me know there is a third one. This is cool.
10 out of 12 right not bad for someone who guessed. I live by the Pacific Ocean and the Tasman sea
I have never loved near any ocean even the Indian Ocean that is close by.
Guesses are allowed and sue to that, your score is impressive. Thanks for taking the quiz.
11/12 but I always thought I could hear the sea through a shell when I was a child. A kind of whooshing sound.
Wow, that’s fabulous. Congratulations and thanks for taking the quiz.
The sound you hear doesn’t actually sound like the ocean. Here is an explanation from Wikipedia:
There is a popular folk myth that if one holds a seashell—specifically, most often, a conch shell—to one’s ear, one can hear the sound of the ocean. The rushing sound that one hears is in fact the noise of the surrounding environment, resonating within the cavity of the shell.
That was intriguing. I got 9 out of 12 🙂
Thank you, Norman. With three to go, you did great on this quiz. Thanks for the quiz.
I got 10 out of 12 correct! Wow I know a lot about the ocean!!

I can’t describe well how it occurs but this link describes it clearly including animation video for emphasis.
I forgot the link: https://science.howstuffworks.com/environmental/earth/oceanography/worlds-largest-waterfall-underwater-denmark-strait-cataract.htm
You got 10 out of 12 right!
Perfect. You rock!
