My second cat, The Dude, was also rescued form death row. Black cats are the least adoptable cats. Superstitions and other crazy reasons. But this cat is like a soft teddy bear. He is also a talker. Talks to me, to the birds. Very entertaining. So glad I was able to adopt him just in time.

It’s so sad how black cats are treated. I have heard about black cats being preferred by witches thus many people don’t like them. Whenever they see a black cat, they throw a stone at it.
I did not know black cats are more vulnerable. We have lots of wild cats visiting our garden I remember one black cat who grew up from being a kitten to an adult. That guy had too many scars on him as a result of his fights with other cats. Off late, I have not befriended these cats. Your posts motivate me to engage with these cats.
Yes they are because of a stigma that many people falsely believe. It is sad.
