A mover, to clarify is someone that when they comment other people comment, or when they share other authors view your post. It is important to remember that content always drives the reaction. But, there are people here on Virily that bring views and comments with them. The important thing to remember is the value of other authors. The other side of views is as follows:
• We no longer get credit for Non-Virily Member views.
The other side of views is the question again of sharing. While there is no direct value for sharing other’s posts on social media, there is an indirect value. There is a relationship between how Virily makes money, as a site, and therefore how you get paid. Virily is an advertising-driven site, That’s wahy when you post a post you will see ads that appear on the post when you view it live. Those ads, amazon, et al. are how Virily is paid. It is part of either Google Ad Sense, Bing Ads or one of the other smaller systems. Each time the ad gets clicked on the site Virily gets revenue. Since the site is ad-driven and of course advertising-funded, sharing the posts of others is a good thing.
There are some great suggestions in the comments that I wish I could track. I would surface those for everyone to see.
1. My post rankings – which of my posts (not me, you!) has the most views?
2. My post shares (is someone sharing my posts)
3. Time of day that works best for posting.
I know the last one doesn’t apply to everyone, but it remains interesting overall. I wanted to thank everyone for the interesting comments left. I also want to note that without more access to the site, we are only able to do a little. I wish I could do more, but that would make access to the actual site data. Since this is an advertising paid site, my gut is the actual numbers are held very closely by the admin team.

I dunno if I understand the first two questions correctly. But, yes, these are good suggestions but should be an option only because for a reader, a chronological view is more convenient ?
Yes readers and authors have many different approaches!
Totally agree that tracking post rankings, post shares & time of day that works best for posting would be very useful & interesting points of Virily statistics. Thank you very much for your wonderful article!!!

I too was on Virily very soon, my friend … but I also left him … he didn’t allow me time to be more active, but I preferred to retire for 1 year

I am here right from the beginning. I started my journey from #8 slot and slipped to #42 since I was not active for almost 14-15 months. I agree we can bring more revenue to this site by our efforts even if we don’t get direct earning (but I believe that indirect earning also adds up in our direct earning)

I do find it interesting when people are gone for a time period. You and a few others left and then came back. May I ask why?
I did not leave the site but I was rarely posting until the site accepted new members. Some of them were my friends from other sites that made me active again.
i had heard there was a time when Virily did not accept new members. Interesting.

it seems like it would be a trivial task to write a db query to sort by views, comments, etc but I don’t know how much of a hit it would be on the servers…
it is, you can grab one off github.
but, who knows.
I have yet to receive my first withdrawal by the end of the month. That means I am a newbie here.
it takes time to get the first one. It is easier after that!
I have to take the time once and look at views of my posts. Maybe I’ll guess which topics are more interesting to the members ?

Are you suggesting that Virily should provide several different means of ranking posts? That could be technically quite tricky, unlike the current listing solely by date. It would mean, for example, that the order would change over time – possibly several times a day. That suggests a huge investment in software flexibility.
Mind you, I am not a technical wiz, so could be talking tripe – please feel free to say so if that is the case!
actually, there are 30 or open source ranking tools available on github. The issue is more that they are focused on other things.
It is honestly more wishful thinking.
Niume would let you do that before it died.
I was active on niume when a member asked me me to join. Actually, sites like Niume and Bubblews made it interesting by bringing views through sharing site. I brought lots of them through Twitter with almost 9k active followers. Probably, that was one reason that such sites had to go.
i was on Niume as well, we had a cadre of writers there. Niume died because they couldn’t make money.
