Good Morning Vilarians and Staff,
We are in for the fight of our life. It’s time to bond together and go for the goal. We all know that views are down and there are issues creating some things. Our fate is in our hands. What can we do to be a part of the solution? We can read, share and comment on every post here. We can respond to comments whenever we have a relevant comment. We can suggest open it up so new members can join and then we could invite other creators to come. We can reach out to some who have not been active and invite them to come back. We can create content, share ideas and pictures that people outside of our small group would be interested in. A random person who follows a tweet probably doesn’t care if virils are counting right and they might love to see the beautiful pictures or learn something new. So Virily, will you help us out and let us invite new creators (members) to the sight and continue to work on issues and Vilarians will you be positive, creative and invites others to spend time here with us. Read, share and comment.

Of course, I contact them often when I have questions or concerns.
If they do not accept new members perhaps it is because they do not need money, they have plenty.
Views are way down. I think they would want more income.
We are going to save Virily. I am sure. Virily is to resist and it is going to be here for many years to come. Clicking advertisements helps Virily a lot.
The problem to me is that the ones managing it seem a bit wet behind the ears. They have little idea how to manage such a site.
I have posts rejected simply because I included a quote in it from the Christian Bible, for example.
They are strict about all of the writing only being yours, but this approach is too over the top, I think.
Also, we are at their mercy. They are almost impossible to contact regarding problems with anything.
I have had pending posts sitting there in pending for weeks. Then, when it was finally approved, and I got notification that it was, and I got my 15 points, instead of becoming live, I found it back in my drafts folder.
I gave up on that one, and simply posted it elsewhere.
Right now, I am afraid to post anything new. I hate waiting more than a day or two for approval.
There seems to be a lot of glitches in the system right now.
The site is going downhill to me.
I think Virily is a work on progress until now. We really do not know what’s on the mind of the admin.The Edit button is not working yet.
Perhaps the edit button is not meant to come back. The edit button did create some issues of simply recycling posts with corrections and not creating new content.
Interesting why new members are not accepted anymore? They shoot themselves in the foot.
it seems odd to me. However my husband made an interesting point. “Would you want a whole new group of people complaining?” I said they might not complain and he laughed.
I have stepped up to the plate in any way I am able to. I really believe in this site and will continue doing so. Admin doesn’t share information, they just don’t and we that have been here 4 years plus, have known this from the start. Yet, in spite of Global advertising taking heavy hits, (see YouTube) stores closing by the dozens, the Virily team still pays me. That says a lot. I’m here for as long as they, (Admin) will have me. 🙂

Ghost writer are you aware that Virily is not accepting new writers now? I try to do as much as possible, but Virily only approves post once in three or four days now. for us non verified writers this is an real issue.
I did find out yesterday that they are not accepting new writers. I think that is a mistake.
It is a mistake. Because most people who come to sites as this come to join and write, not just to read.
Yes, it is. Because what happens is that you post, it isn’t published. so you post somewhere else. Knowing, for example, you won’t be published from Friday to Monday you don’t bother log on from Friday to Monday.
Jaylar seems to have explained a lot of the issue here, sadly.
But I will continue doing my part and hope for the best.

The problem with truth is that it keeps shoving into reality. I think many of us would be gone as soon as we find another site.
It can be very frustrating. Have you approached them about becoming verified?
If you find another place that works great for you, I am happy for you.
It can get disappointing.

The first time it happened to me I was wondering what I did wrong, trying to contact Admin, then realised… to prevent Earning they stop Publishing.
That is an assumption. It is not a fact.

Is Virily in danger? Do you know anything we don’t know? I rarely comment but … even when I comment, it happens that some of my comments are reported (even today I received a message for virils deduction for unapproved comments). Then, why should I bother to comment if my comments are not approved?
I know that the views are way down. The way the site makes money is with views. That has to improve.

I know that some comments do get reported. There are some miscommunications here for certain. I think sometimes it is simply language barriers. It’s a fair question Country Mama, I don’t know the answer.
Exactly. Many people here do not really understand English so that a perfectly decent comment is rejected.
I think you misunderstood what I was saying. Comments are normally reported by another writer. Sometimes that happens out of spite.
i hope no one is reporting your comments, but i have had that issue recently as well. 6 comments reported on one post. (they were not my comments but it was my post).

Jan 2019 the number of posts with 100 views in 24 hours was close to 100. (90 something)
Jan 2020 number of posts with 100 views in 24 hours 12.
if we take virily issues posts 2019 drops to 71 and Virily 2020 drops to 1.
we have much fewer views now than November last year.
we have also lost 5 or more authors since then.
Doc, any chance any of those writers will become active? Any other suggesstions that might be helpful?

When you treat people like dirt you can’t expect them to return. You know if they treat you like dirt at Petrol Station 1 you start to go to Station 2 where they smile.
i do understand your frustration and aggregation with the site. But I don’t think the authors in question left because of that. They all had situations IRL that forced them to not be on Virily.
Doc, you are a beautiful optimist. But Tsarcraft has the facts. People left because of the treatment.

You didn’t…. what happens is someone writes to Admin. No answer. No answer. No answer. That is what I mean. I can’t say any user was rude or mean to me or treated me like dirt, and I don’t think anyone else would say that.
in fairness, interesting word, there are some who’ve left because of the admins.
there are some who have left because they could not find an audience.
there are some who have left because of other authors.
There is==are someone who have left because they don’t have time.
All four contribute to people leaving. It doesn’t matter why, just that they do. It isn’t optimism to point out that some are not gone forever, just limited on time.
WEll, to me an optimist is a positive term.

i know more than 40 authors who have left the site.
of those only 5 were because of the admins.
20 were direct because of other authors.
the remaining fifteen ran into time issues and other problems including loss of pets and family members.
The admins need to communicate more without question.
it would be good if they would do that.
