Hello Winter – Themes by the Month

As expected, the first real snowfall for the season has started today. The first snow is always clean and beautiful, and the air is amazingly fresh. It’s great to take a deep breath and enjoy the cool pure air.

Anyway, the first snow means two things: more birds on the feeders, and it’s time to join Kim’s challenge for the month.

By the way, the bird on the photo is greenfinch.

  1. Love this photograph Ellie. Wow. So beautiful. Fabulous. I had a tough time answering the two questions. We got 2 feet of snow in our mountains, but only rain on the coast. I do not see winter unless I drive up in elevation.

  2. Here in the Outaouais valley, Canada, we only had one little snowfall which has all melted and now it is all green again. I miss snow as I am a winter person through and through. That poor greenfinch does not look pleased by the falling snow…
