The Best Thing About Winter

Many people associate the 1st of March with the beginning of spring, but everything is still covered in snow here. In fact, we had an overall warm winter and the last few days have been the coldest for this year.

There’s one positive thing about the cold weather, and it’s that there are many birds who come for seeds. I saw some of them for the first time in my life this winter.

Some of the birds around us are sparrows, great tits, blue tits, greenfinches, chaffinches, blackbirds, magpies, Eurasian jays, hawfinches and many more.

Here are some of the photos I managed to take. I’m sorry for the bad quality, but I took them with my phone through the window. I was wondering whether I should share these photos, but they have captured some special moments, and I decided to post them despite the quality.

See more photos here and here.
