I have been promising LindaOH to post a full garden view of Dustin’s garden. I went out just now, with a light rain falling, and snapped this from the deck. Hope you can see some of the details. Will get more pics later.
To the far left is the bird bath, underneath the tulip poplar tree I talk about all the time. Then the pine trees in the back. With all the new houses built behind the trees. The construction I complained about. They are all built now.
Then Dustin’s garden. Some of the bushes have finished blooming. But to the left is the white butterfly bush plant, a bench in the middle, hummingbird feeder in the back on the pole, rose bush in the middle (almost done blooming for now), black butterfly bush behind the rose bush, sedum to the right of the roses, lilac bush behind the sedum, angel beside the roses, memorial stone in the middle, Eeyore (faded from blue) to the right, and the stones to be replaced in the front.
Now maybe you can get an idea of what I am talking about when I take the macro photos. And after the rain we are suppose to get, I should get more roses. It usually blooms through September. The sedum will turn burgundy in a few weeks. I will get pics of that later.
And next year the black butterfly bush should be fuller. Just planted it this year. There is another hummingbird feeder on the deck. They are constantly going back and forth to the feeders right now. And the bluebirds get in the bird bath, then they will sit on the pole in the garden to dry. Very cool to watch the entire scene.

You have a really big and beautifully landscaped garden …. Dustin’s garden is really something special, dear Carol
Thank you, I am always working on it, adding more to it. Thanks again. It is a very special place.
Lovely garden Carol. I can see the bird bath, some bird feeders and the little angle there.
Thanks, it was taken in the rain, just a quick shot.
That’s a lovely garden. I wish I had a garden that big.
Thanks, there is more to my backyard as well.
It’s a beautiful garden, I hope it brings you peace.
Yes, that is the whole reason for having the garden. And it does.
I love the way you’ve laid it out. Thanks for sharing such a personal thing Carol!
Thanks Doc. Lin had been asking to see it for awhile. It was raining, so this was a quick phone shot. I have more I want to add.
I like that it was in the rain, there is a wistfulness about the photo.
It’s a beautiful scene especially the green vegetation. This photo deserves to be in the green colour challenge.
Thank you, I have more to show later, this was a quick shot in the rain. And I appreciate your kind words.
Ni ce and lovely, hope I can be there one day.
Thank you, it is very peaceful.

Great, I appreciate your words.
Beautiful garden. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for visiting and commenting.
I too had this in mind to ask you for a photo. You can still plant more there I can see
Yes I have plenty of room, but don’t want to take the entire yard. I have a few more plants in mind for next year.
The roses always bloom through the end of September, they seem to be taking a break right now.
My garden is what I call a systematic wilderness (lol)
That is funny, I understand.
I never imagined that Dustin’s Garden looks like this. There is so much space. It’s a beaut.
Oh thank you so much! and there is more to share when it is in full bloom.
Dustin’s garden is beautiful and very large. I thought it was smaller too.
Thank you, it is my backyard here as well. The garden is just off the steps of my deck.
I plan to add more plants for next year as well.
Thank you so much for the picture. You have a really lovely garden and yard. It’s bigger than I thought. It’s obvious that you tend it very lovingly.
You are so welcome! I hope to get a better one soon. The rose bush has kind of stopped blooming but it will start back up probably. And there is more. That is just a snapshot from my phone. There is another tulip poplar over to the right. Two rows of cypress trees to the far left. And then the front as well. It takes a little work but so worth it.
Looking good!
it feels like a mini park!!
There she is! Good to see you. The garden is semi blooming, the heat has slowed it down but it should pick back up soon.
I hope next year it will be even better with some new garden stones I have picked out.
