Going through some old photos. Edited this one to black and white. Very special moment of Dustin fishing at his Great-Grandmother’s catfish pond.
Such great memories he had staying with her, fishing, listening to her stories. I had the same memories growing up, and then to see him enjoy was priceless.
Savor the moments, Life is short.

I once went through my child’s school papers and came across a question and answer sheet he had filled out. His teacher asked: “What was the proudest moment in his life?” His answer was: “When I caught my first fish.” His father often took him fishing. I don’t have any photos of their fishing trips. If only I had known that moment was so special. I would have told my husband to take a camera.
Such a precious memory! Happy memories are some of our most valuable possessions.
Thank you, this is a favorite as I knew how proud he was.
A lovely picture and a great memory.
Thank you very much Dawn.
Your son enjoyed fishing. These are such fond memories. Good thing we have pictures of our loved ones.
Yes he did very much so. Even from an early age as you see here.
What an amazing Mom Dustin has, to keep him so close to her heart.
Also, did you see his greeting to you above? Amazon books feature all the DUSTIN Hoffman movies specially for you, wonderful mom and wonderful friend to me…
Yes and he loved some of these movies, especially Rain Man. Thanks Andre.
Certainly treasure the precious moments in life… Nice photo
Yes indeed and that you Pam.
Fishing is not my passion, but I do have great memories of walking the hills with my friends when I was visiting my grandparents in the countryside!
Those are very special memories Georgi.
We all love it when you share your memories of Dustin. So awesome!
Thank you, that means the world.
A lovely photo of Dustin!
I’m glad you have all these previous memories and photos with you.
Take care and have a nice day 🙂
Special moment in my heart. He was so proud of the fish.
I absolutely agree, life is too short not savor every moment. Great photo of Dustin.
Thank you my friend Bradley. This was a special time indeed, I remember it like it was yesterday. He was serious about fishing.
It’s a really nice memory of your son, dear Carol … he was a real fisherman
Thank you my friend, so good to see you! He was serious about his fishing, even at an early age.
It’s good to see you too, my dear friend … I missed you yesterday … you were very late….
Yes I was, I had errands and an appointment! Better late than never, right!
But so … I agree with this that it’s better late than never … Have a nice evening, dear Carol
Thanks for sharing this precious moment with us.
You are welcome, these are precious indeed.
This is a Great think.
What …. is a great think here?
This has move value than most of us will ever understand.
Thank you for seeing that and expressing it, much appreciated.
That’s a wonderful photo of your little fellow, Carol. The back story makes it all the more special. The monochrome effect you chose gives it a extra special charm. What a sweet sweet memory 😀
Thank you very much Norman, each photo I find takes me right back to the moment. I liked the monochrome as well. Made it more special to me. So thankful for these photos and forever memories. Good to see you my friend.
That is an amazing moment Carol.
I remember the first time I went fishing with my grandfather. It is a moment I will never forget. I love the look on his face.
So glad I captured it Doc. Those moments are always with me now, as yours are. Dustin was serious even at a young age about his fishing.
my grandfather taught me what to look for, to watch the surface and to pay attention. But he mostly taught me to breathe!
My Grandmother was my inspiration. She taught me and Dustin everything about life.
It is the most important thing – grandparents don’t have the hassle of day to day life to teach!!!
That is a most adorable photo, Carol, I am glad you have these memories. I have a bunch of home videos that I should look through but I am scared about what I will feel when I see my late husband and hear this voice, Silly, isn’t it? Being afraid of videos.
Thanks, one of my many favorites. I have it in color in a frame closely. He was so proud. I understand but oh my goodness what I would give to have a video of my son’s voice. IT is not silly at all. You move at your own pace my friend.
It’s that kind of person you are that makes you so special here on Virily Sandra, you should be brave, just like dear Carol is, and start sharing him with others here who care deeply for you both. your husband is your dearest friend as is Dustin to Carol, the ones who care for both of you would consider it an honor, well, I would anyhow…
Thank you Andre for those encouraging words to Sandra.
