Sharing a photo with Monday’s Macro challenge. A bee captured on my white butterfly bush blooms in Dustin’s garden earlier. These bees really like the tiny flowers. The butterflies have arrived as well. Even with the triple digit temperatures, it is an exciting time in the garden.
I like getting up close and personal with here bumble bees. I take my time, move slowly, and they allow a photo op. Their wing detail in the sunshine is absolutely amazing. More little things offered by mother nature.
I also wrote about these bees with raindrops in this post: Raindrop Bee ~ Saturday Critters

I love Bumble Bees, yes I have caught them with my camera on a flower…Lovely photo Carol.
This is one lovely picture, thanks for sharing it.
Great capture of this bee. I hope I never get stung by a bee again, because I am severely allergic. Yikes lol!
Thanks my friend, they are all over my yard, so cool to see them. I am very careful and take my time.
Great photo and good technique.
Yes, I have hundreds of bee photos. It is partly a volunteer work issue.
Cheers Carol, enjoy your wonderful garden!
Thanks Howard. I love seeing these in the garden.
Having native bees is nothing but good. Noticing them and making a place for them is certainly one of the good things to do in life.
Completely agree with you. Respecting them is what we should all do.
That’s a magazine-worthy shot of the bee! Exquisite.
You are so kind to say that. Thanks so much for your kindness on my photos.
This is a great macro shot of the bee.
Thanks so much I appreciate you and your support.
Great picture, dear friend … it’s so close, but I really did not even paint before
Thanks Lado, it is a macro up close.

Thank you my friend! 🙂
Very well job Carol.Thanks.
Thanks Robin, it was so much fun watching up close.
I admire this bee’s macro.
Thank you, I watched he and his friend for about 15 minutes.
I don’t think I can ever get so close to a bee for …
many reasons … lol
Nice macro!!
It takes some getting used to. But when you realize they are not there to harm you, just move slowly, it is ok. Thank you! 🙂
Have you ever been stung by an insect before?
Well, yes and no… I’ve been bitten by mosquitoes a lot! LOL
I’m just generally afraid of things that flies … and well I’ve gotten dengue (from mosquito bite) and it was NO fun!
I have been bitten by those annoying pets many many time! I understand, a lot of people are afraid of bees.
Very sweet picture I liked it ۔.
Thank you very much.
I appreciate your kind comments.
Beautiful picture, thanks for sharing.
Much appreciate your kindness.
You are so kind to comment on my photos. 🙂
What a wonderful picture Carol! I love watching bees returning to the hive and the wonderful dance that someone tells all the other bees where the flowers are!
Thanks Doc. I watched these for about 15 minutes, there were three of them. Buzzing around the blooms. Very cool. Would love to have honey bees.
dad did for 3 or 4 years on the farm (the hive moved to a new location or died).
We loved the honey, with the fruit trees and the field clover, it was magical honey!!!
My uncle always had bee hives and we enjoyed the fresh honey. I buy it locally here and it tastes almost the same. If you ever buy honey, try to buy it from a local person. They sometimes sell in grocery stores. It is suppose to help allergies. But I buy it for my taste buds. 🙂
The farmers market starts around April and goes to October. They have the best honey. I agree. Local Honey is the best!
No In fact i feel scare from bee
I respect them. Move slowly around them and never have a problem. They are not our enemy.
Have you had a bad experience with a bee or insect?
How I wish that I have a high-resolution camera and can capture bees’ up close. But I think you did a great job on this.
Thank you. I actually used my small Canon PowerShot on this one. Good to see you.
I have a larger Nikon I use with a tripod for the hummingbirds.
It is nice to be back. I do like to have one. I never had seen hummingbirds in my life. I hope I can see one in the future.
