We take most of the things in our life for granted, never stop and think about how our lives would look like without some common items. Disposing trash is more easier with the foot-pedal trash can and driving on the rainy weather is not difficult with windshield wipers. Somebody invented that to make our lives easier. Some ladies, to be precise. You see, men are responsible for many scientific discoveries, but women are those who thought about small, practical inventions that could save time and make our lives easier. So, let’s see how many of those “practical minded” women are still remembered.

Super quiz. You got 7 out of 8 right!
Bravo, Vidocka! 🙂 You nailed it! 🙂
Only 2/8, should explore more information about these very useful inventions!!!
This lack of information is because men tended to disregard women’s achievements through history. I made this quiz to point that.
5/8, only got the silver metal
The silver medal is a nice achievement. 🙂
No, it was these mothers of invention who were the real achievers. I just made some good and bad guesses…
Good point…. Some day, you may invent some fancy kitchen device, but till that time, you’ll stay just a famous artist. 🙂
Hard to stay famous when you aren’t famous to begin with. Go ahead and mention Ledante to your friends and wait for them to say “who?”
I definitely learned something new with this quiz.
Thanks for that feedback. 🙂 That was the point because many of those genius ladies are forgotten. 🙂
You got 5 out of 8 right!
Great
Yeay!! I got a medal!!
Hehe… really interesting quiz…
I didn’t know there are so many female inventors!!
Bravo, great score! 🙂 There are more female inventors, but I chose only those to introduce. 🙂
well, if you’re in the mood, maybe you could try making more such quizzes 🙂
I’ll surely do. 🙂 I have no longer logging issues. 🙂
These are really fascinating facts and I’m pleased I learned something today.
Than it served it’s purpose. 🙂 Thanks for the feedback. 🙂
I got 6/8. Quite surprising to know some inventors.
You did it very well. 🙂 Congratulations! 🙂
Interesting and educational quiz. I got 6/8.
Thanks! 🙂 You did an excellent job! 🙂
I love this quiz! And I did much better than I expected, with 6 right out of 8 🙂 Some of the answers were a surprise, like I thought disposable nappies (diapers) were a much later invention than 1950s, and I am really astonished about how late the paper bag was invented. How did they manage before that??!!
Thanks for the compliment. 🙂 It was really surprising for me that some, more complicated inventions, are made earlier than a simple paper bag. In fact, there were paper bags that looked like envelopes and weren’t so practical to use. Margaret Knight invented machine that made flat bottom paper bags, as we know them now. 🙂
When I was a teenager, I worked in the summer in a shop, where I would pack customers’ purchases into large paper bags. Years later those bags were entirely replaced by plastic bags. But now we have come around 360 degrees and are using paper bags again, as there is an ecological tax here on plastic bags 🙂
Paper bags are eco-friendly product, because paper is made of natural ingredients and doesn’t do any harm in the environment when it’s disposed. We poisoned too much water and soil with plastic and it was high time to stop that nasty habit. 🙂
nice quiz, I love it and just get 2-3 correct.
Thanks for taking the quiz and for such a nice feedback. 🙂 That is quite good score, regarding that the topic is not so common. 🙂
You got 2 out of 8 right!
Could be better
I wish you better luck next time. 🙂 Thank you for your effort. 🙂
Practical Minded Women Quiz
You got 4 out of 8 right!
Not so bad
well, how lucky I am…
You better know mothers than inventors, that is for sure. 🙂
I think you’re right even though they are a mom too…
Some of them surely are…. 🙂
Thanks, T. 🙂 I like those vintage images. 🙂
Agree. 🙂 It seems I am vintage, too because more and more things seems better back then, than today…. 😀
Only got 6 correct but love the illustrations in your quizzes.
But your score is excellent! 🙂 I like those vintage pictures that are images of real people, too. 🙂
so good wonderfull
Thanks a lot for the compliment. 🙂
It was very fun and interesting. You got 5 out of 8 right!
Great
Thanks for the compliment, Elenka! 🙂 It’s a great score, by the way. 🙂

Thanks, Paul! 🙂 You’re always so kind. 🙂
Practical Minded Women Quiz

Good score, Branka! 🙂 Well done! 🙂
Five out of eight! This was a fun quiz thank you!
Wow! It’s a good score, regarding that topic is not very common. 🙂 Thanks for the compliment! 🙂
A retro dishwasher. Wonderful.
Everything is retro, here. It looks amazing now, how those people came to idea to invent those things. 🙂
