US companies have started exporting blood of poor Americans.

Poor and hard working citizens of the United States began selling their blood to meet their needs. According to the report, the development of industrial and technology in the US had strengthened the economy, but after the urban technology revolution has again faced difficulties.

40 % of US citizens say they are fighting hard to pay for food, housing, utilities and health care. According to the report, the situation in the US has deteriorated to such an extent that they have begun to sell their blood to meet their needs.

Report says , that between 2016 and 2017, Americans sold so much blood that their exports increased by more than 13%. which resulted in blood exports to $ 28.6 billion.

According to an another study, blood donors in Cleveland earn more than one-third of their income by selling their blood. Reports also says, The blood buying and selling industry is one of America’s fastest growing industries.

  1. That indeed is a sad state. While we in the developing countries look up to the giant economies like the US how can it be possible? Blood is donated to a blood bank, the blood bank sells them to the hospital but I never heard of a person here getting paid for the blood he donated.

  2. In the UK, blood is donated – nobody can sell it.

    This practice has caused huge problems. The UK is still picking up the pieces from the scandal of polluted blood products that were bought from the US some 30 years ago (I’m not sure about the exact date) and were used to treat haemophiliacs. However, instead of preserving the patients’ lives the blood gave them diseases including HIV and hepatitis, and a number of people died.

    If you pay people for their blood, people such as the ones you describe will donate it. It they are already suffering from a condition that is carried in their blood, and it is not properly screened, you will export those diseases to entirely innocent people.
