An hour before midnight, a few hours ago, the family of my siblings and wife had returned to their respective homes. They came to celebrate my wife’s birthday because most of them could not come together that day.
We are gathered, from various age groups, from teens to 80s like my mother. We had dinner, joking, and chatting together. One of the interesting things that I can conclude from the conversation is that, in whatever age we live, whatever we wear, whatever vehicles we use – past or present, and to what extent technological differences in the past with the present, in words other, no matter how far the changes have brought us to this point, no matter how old we are, the essence or taste of happiness has never changed, whatever the cause, such as the sweetness of sugar throughout the ages. Likewise with longing, falling in love, or sore from wounds. So, what are we looking for?

Not sure if I told you. But, having get-together with my own family, it erased everything that ever happened and the only things that remain are love, joy and gratitude that life blessed me with these people in my life. The past became irrelevant.
First, I feel grateful that you have all that with all the happiness that follows, which of course is supported by love.
As a feeling and mental state, happiness does not change, “the taste” of happiness is always the same, maybe in different strengths or intensities, with different triggers. Of course, if happiness is associated with external stimulants.
Yes. But there is a downside to it. Now I cannot write as fast as before ? and it changed the writing style too.
Happiness, whether a path or a choice, still means a person will have to take a step to get into that ?
Huh… In this flesh and blood, both sides have never failed to play their role, is it?
Once a person decides about happiness, the consequences of a decision will follow him, so also if that person doesn’t decide or then doubts it, then he/she will continue to oscillate in obscurity, as well as with all the consequences.
A lot of people, brother, think that the source of happiness is outside. And even if one tries to explain to them, they cannot understand it until they are ready to understand it.
That is the reason we write about it, although some people also feel they know what we are talking about. Maybe a little about that is, knowing, understanding, and realizing is something different.

Yes, through life we journey through joy and pain and it is what we do with what we have that really counts.
You are right Pamela, whatever route we choose to take on our journey of life, the two sides of duality must always be in line and complement each other.
We often make so much about happiness without realizing that happiness ans sadness are just faces/phases too of the coin called life.
Very wisely said, Dawn!
I’m glad to see that cute rabbit appeared in a good place.
Yes, you are right that happiness is a part of duality, which to reach it is always accompanied by grief and even suffering.

i would send you happiness as energy my friend.
There is so much that can be shared, so much good in the world! Love is the most giving of the emotions for and of happiness.
But we can also rise above pain to find happiness.
Thank you, Doc. I will enjoy all the energy you send.
One thing to underline from your comments is emotion where emotions are usually aroused coz triggered by something, can be many things, which in this case is love, while we understand that love is everything, outside and inside, everywhere, then why we always rely on triggers (say love) from the outside, and with dosage that must continue to be increased (desire to have more)?
you ask the masters question, why must we feel love. Love doesn’t not need to be felt it simply is.
Yes, love does not need to be felt but is realized, also does not need to be asked the reason because it can turn into the mere calculation, but not with happiness, because most people have – with or without being aware of – determine the conditions about or to be happy, with a growing addendum .
I do find love around me often. it flows much easier than other emotions. Anger is the stop sign. Frustration is the yellow caution.
Happiness is the green go sign.
But love, fills all.
All of the guides above are understandable and there is no doubt about that.
i shared a retro-intro perspective post today – more philosophical in my wander project.
I’m leaving right now.
:-0 read if and when you can my friend.
I’m always thirsty for that!
thank you – my father always said “everyone has a voice.”
I agree with Alex. Happiness is a state of well-being, a choice, the ability of each to have more positive than negative emotions. This happens at any age. Does it make sense what I say?
Never have your words failed to make sense, maybe only occasionally it’s hard to digest.??
Oh dear, I have no problem with the (definition of) happiness but rather what can cause people to be happy, and why its levels or dosages must be continuously increased.
“it’s hard to digest”? Come on! You left me speechless!!!
Don’t worry, it’s just a serious joke…?
We all seek happiness because we can’t live unhappy life throughout our lives. But where we seek it matters a lot. It never changes, never lingers for long but wonderful when one experiences it.
What do you think of the statements written at the end of many “They lived happily ever after” stories? and does that mean that all the conditions for happiness are always fulfilled?
Not all conditions for happiness are fulfilled. With stories that end with such statements, it implies some conditions the people felt justified their happiness were fulfilled but not all. We don’t enjoy happiness in its fullest form.
Thank you for your reply and wise perspective, my friend.
My opinion is that happiness is within us only to find we have in our interior.
I fully agree with you dear friend. Whatever result of we seek outside always leads to the beach of happiness inside, so how to find it inside as often as possible without needing to be triggered by something outside? Ah, let the one inside answer it…
happiness isn’t a destination, it is a state of being. and a fleeting one at that…
Yes, that’s the truth, unfortunately, that definition doesn’t apply to most people…
yet another reason why so many are unhappy
What’s important is that it applies to you.
happiness doesn’t just apply to me, it means me…
Yeah! That’s my brother in law!
I’m not just responsible for my own happiness, I am my own happiness
I know… You are happiness himself.
just my version of happiness
I have read a lot about the state of happiness. And when you do that, you get many opinions. One that stood out to me said that happiness is a global pursuit. Researchers find that people from every corner of the world rate happiness more important than other desirable personal outcomes, such as obtaining wealth, acquiring material goods, and getting into heaven.
As for how to find happiness, I think we all have to do that in our own way. I am always searching for ways to be more happy. I will get there eventually.
That is the essence of this writing, my friend. All wishes; to get wealth, fame, have a high position, etc. actually only a desire to be happy, but on condition.
Happiness, as we often read, is a state of mind, the taste never changed, and it never goes anywhere, it is always in there, but people always look for it out there.
Absolutely, it is right up there with finding peace.
Is “up there” not too far? ?
Nice to have you all together and have a great time and celebrate your wife’s birthday, dear Albert
Yes, dear friend. Our house was very crowded last night, but we had a great time together.
Most importantly, the whole length was gathered and you had a great time, dear Albert
Yes, we are very happy and enjoy the atmosphere, dear friend, moreover, my wife really enjoys being together. She smiles and laughs a lot!
You know the saying that …. laughter is half health, dear friend
Yes, indeed, dear friend. Thank you for your kind words.
So beautiful that photo! I always love whake up with a morning like that.
Yep! That’s beautiful indeed, but actually it is sunset, my friend.
