Today, on my way, from a distance I saw a technician climbing the tower and one other person doing something up there. Unfortunately, I could not take the picture because it was too far away. Really, I don’t know what they are doing up there, but my guess is they must be doing something related to electricity.
I just thought, what were they thinking when they were up there? Many people feel hesitant at high altitudes but there are also many people who always want to reach high places, such as climbing mountains for example. Likewise, people in general, want to reach other heights such as becoming a superstar, top leader, etc. Why do so many people want to reach heights?
I do not deny that I ever also had such ambitions, both physically by climbing mountains, or climbing career peaks, but, what is there? Indeed, I could see the path that the people below were going to take, but up there I was also shivering with cold, the wind was blowing very hard too. I admit that there are a certain beauty and privilege up there, but so is down here. Indeed, there is a sense of greatness when you are up there, but also lonely because there are far fewer people at the top than below. Can we not see the majesty of the universe at the bottom of the ocean? Or on the abyss, or on the beach? Is not everything that has mass if it moves will move down?

I’m not afraid of heights, but I have no desire to climb somewhere, dear Albert … I live under high mountains but I have not been to any … only the ones I can get to by car
Again, you show your simplicity and modesty, dear friend. You are a person who lives in happiness and peace.
How pleasant praise … the mountains are very dangerous …. a lot of people die in our mountains every year … which I don’t know 100% I don’t do any thing … I’m more careful … life has taught me caution, dear Albert
Life has taught you wisdom, dear friend.
Wisdom and caution …. I’ve looked death many times in the eyes, dear Albert
Death is a certainty that can not be avoided by anyone, but dying in vain because of carelessness or victims of carelessness is very unfortunate and needs to be a lesson for anyone.
That’s right …. carelessness and carelessness … we say …. youth is madness and it totally holds true, dear Albert
And as you have said, all of that – youth – has passed.
And I have to admit that I can only thank God even though I don’t go to church … I had a guardian Angel who was watching over me, dear Albert
We have the same attitude about the church, also about the guardian angels. I have long learned to recognize my four guardian angels as taught by the wisdom of ancient Javanese ancestors.
someone must keep the late-night lights on in Albert’s house!
You’re right, Doc! I really appreciate them for doing a good job, so I can feel comfortable at home.
there are a special few that run towards a problem when others walk way. We call them heros!
The nickname hero is right for them!
it is. Anyone that is willing to help others, without regard for what happens to them, deserves praise.
It is sad that instead, we praise internet stars and performers more.
In such criteria, you also deserve to be called a hero.
thank you. I would return the designation as well for you my friend.
May you see that I have bowed deeply to honor your appreciation.
well in return (being an ugly American) I offer you a fist bump!
Yeah!!! Now, let me laugh with joy. ?
After I went ziplining and parasailing I know I had conquered my fear of heights. One day I feel I can jump out of an airplane with someone to hang onto.
WoW!!! Challenging yourself, especially to defeat fear is a great thing, LaJenna!
I saw a man climbing up a power line like that in the Panmure Basin near Mt Wellington.
I took photos like you.
I’m sure you have a good picture, Pamela. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get the picture because I was in a moving car while the power line was too far away.
Then this is a really superb effort…it is a very good photo Albert..
This is a tower located only about three hundred meters from my house.
I don’t like heights but will manage if I have to
There are quite a lot of people who don’t like height, so you don’t have to go there if you don’t want it, dear friend.
I believe one needs to enjoy the journey as much as one does the destination.
Yes, journey, the whole journey is needed to give us a chance to learn, including to understand the ego and tame it.
we have a big hill station
Have you ever been to the top?
I don’t like height. I never had the ambition to reach a certain height. I’m not the man to say that.
Uhh… You’re already tall even though you’re not at the height place, dear friend.
As a youngster I always wanted to be noticed but now looking back I realise how much work went in there
Keeping a low profile is what I now realise ensures peace and tranquility.
Yep! In the end, we realize that the most important thing in everything in life is staying in bliss and peace.
I remember those days my claws were always out if someone else took credit for what I did but these days I just watch and move on.
You’re at the height you should be right now, Grace. The height of wisdom that can maintain peace and tranquility of your heart.
I just withdraw the moment I notice some kind of discord specially if it does not affect my survival.
That’s what I often can’t avoid because many people come to me when they’re in a dispute and ask for a way out.?
That is a different situation when one helps out others with their disputes. I do that too.
Again, we have something in common!
I keep my goals a little lower I suppose. It really doesn’t matter what height we are if we reach what we are striving for in life, agreed?
I agree with you, Carol. It’s just that, in the end, I conclude for myself that all ambition and desire is only an ego command, although it is also an important part of the learning process on the university of life.
When I am on the ground, I dream of being at a high place. When I reach the height, I want to be back on ground. Literally and figuratively, haha.
I wonder, where exactly do you want to be, Ellie??
I am like a cat! They are like “Please, open the door. I need to get out so I can get in again.” 😀
Is it like a father’s advice, “You have to go to school as high as possible so that later you have lots of opportunities for reunions!”
This one makes a little bit more sense!
Starting from the theory “The higher we climb, the better we fall” … I decided that the highest height to climb would be the cherry tree in my yard.
That’s too high for me! Have you ever climbed a tomato tree? I’ve!
You are brave!!!! Tomato Tree does not grow in my area so I did not climb one.
You must know that I am a student of Peter Pan.
Nope! I did not know that! Now I know!
If you need a fairy to accompany you, I can ask Peter Pan for help in this matter.
Good to know! If I decide I will let you know. But I’m afraid I’m at the age when I don’t need fairies anymore.
Ah! Yes! I forgot that there is a lot of love around you that always takes care of you!?
