Technology wander round-up! (lots of topics)

First of all, I threw a number out yesterday of 500 visits per day, more as a mistake on my part. I meant to say 250 and 100 virils per day — my apologies to the community for the error.

One of the interesting changes in the portable projector market of late is the growth of the portable screens. Why in most cases, do you care about a screen? Well if you are using the projector in places where lighting isn’t o,optimal a screen makes a huge difference. E The portable screen allows you to show/share your phone screen or computer/tablet screen more effectively. Impromptu meetings are greatly enhanced by projectors! The ability to show Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Instant, and other video sources anywhere is also nice. We sometimes like to sit on the back deck. Being able to watch a movie as the night sky flows around you is always fun!

The portable speaker and projector combination is also really improving. The Nebula Capsule has decent speakers and a good projector. The cost and size of these projectors have also shrunk considerably.

As promised I do some reviews are coming and more on how to earn Virils on Virily.

Every once in a while, I get a wild technology idea. Lately, I’ve been looking for an HD radio Lighting connected add on for my phone. There was one that used the 3.5mm jack on the older iPhones and pads. I am curious as to why that isn’t a bigger thing. One of the concerns I have is getting weather information in real time. The NWS in the US and the EWS in Europe both broadcast retime weather warnings on AM or FM.  Why is it so hard to get a portable am/FM receiver for your phone now?

I know, super geeky quest. I go on those from time to time!

  1. Rarely do I reach 100 virilis a day.
I like the Virily members because they offer constructive criticism or ‘I like-don’t-like’ comments with an explanation. If someone will only answer ‘so cute’ or ‘awesome’ and leaves at that; it is better for the person to upvote than to comment.
I joined a site similar to Virily but the replies to the posts are usually one-worded comments.
It is a great site but that is the drawback. Another drawback is the members posting photos without an article to accompany them and the same one worded comments. I like it here a photo is accompanied by words.

    • the reason we have a 20 character rule for comments, is because of people that often simply said nice…. cute
then they would add long punctuation cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

luckily those people have moved on to other sites. It is an embarassment!

  2. Conversations between authors must remain civil. I’m just starting out; so I don’t get very many virils per day. Interesting post on technology.

  3. Very interesting post … according to my calculation, I have about 300 virilies per day … the surveys are working fine for quizzes, but I do not know because I’m not doing them

  4. I think it all matters, like conversations between authors. It helps us stay motivated. You motivate me with all the support you give me. It matters! Keep us all thriving for more things to write about, and share with our supporters and the world.
