Caught this photo out of the corner of my eye in the screen room this morning. The shadows from the sun were shining on the chair creating an interesting pattern.
I know Wednesday was the Shadow Challenge, but why not, I was late for the Monday challenge, so I will also be a day late for the Wednesday Shadows challenge.
You can also see the Dude and Brendel’s mint to the right of the chair. Soon I will also bring some in to dry out and use in my hot tea. Cannot wait for cooler weather.

there is no shadow without light
I have to agree with you.
no shadow without light
Wonderful strong pattern there. Love the pink too. I thought shadows were on silhouette day.. I hadnt heard about shadow wednesday. Is this a new one?
Thank you Kim, it was by chance! I may be confused about the Shadows challenge. I stay confused. 🙁
lol awe, you made me laugh. Sounds like something I would say. I think the reason you are confused is this was a long time ago, more than a year I think. I started off by saying silhouette saturday, then since some people have problems with silhouettes I made it shadows and silhouettes, then eventually dropped the shadow off of the title. I was just wondering if someone made a shadow only one that I had missed. I noticed that you had said that reflections were hard for you to see, but shadows stand out. But this comment reminded me of the dude in the china cabinet one. Looked like he was inside of it. Now that was one awesome photograph.
shadows are always an interesting question.
Yes I agree with you Doc.
Amazing sharp shadows, to be honest I thought it was a decoration on a cake until I took a closer look. This is a really good photo.
Thank you, it was an interring pattern from the chair.
Great capture, it looks like an actual design
Thanks, it was from the chair, caught my attention.
You got it on time. I have my camera glued to me all the time (lol)
Yes I did. You never know what you will see.
That is a great shot. It takes a quick eye to catch because the sun can shift or a cloud can come along at any time.
Thank you, I am always looking out for a good photo!
Great picture. I agree, we should always have a camera on hand
Thank you, I keep one of mine with me at all times.
I was fooled by that photo that I really thought it was a design.
Many did, it was from the back of the chair. 🙂
That’s beautiful! I thought it’s a pattern… 🙂
Thanks, the pattern is from the back of the chair onto the cushion.
Beautiful and interesting picture, dear Carol … shadows accompany us every step of the way
Thanks, and you are right. Sometimes we see the shadows, other times not.
Very nice Carol! This is one challenge I need to do – it is one of my favorites, Next week for sure.
My camera rarely leaves my house. I have to make a point of taking it.
Thanks! You should join. I don’t see many reflections but a lot of shadows.
After missing many photos, I always have one of my cameras with me all the time.
I’m trying to get back in the swing of things. Time has not been my friend lately.
I did get paid so that is one hurdle out of the way that I was waiting for. It’s silly, I just had to see it happen.
If for reasons I don’t carry the camera or run out of battery, my phone is always with me. There are always moments that I can capture in a photo.
A phone is a great camera backup, I do the same!
Makes me want to constantly be aware of new and interesting things to capture. Yours is a cool one!
We have to always be aware. Thank you! Hope you are well.
We should always be aware of what is around us.
Do you know there is place where a time comes that no shadow reflects ?
Not really, where is this place?
So… what is the answer to your question?
It really is a beautiful shadow! Love it!
Thanks, it caught my eye.
The reflections are the ones I have a hard time seeing.
