Any fruit is first a flower.
Starting from this reality I thought it was interesting to start a photography project entitled “From flowers to fruits and seeds”.
Autumn offers us tasty and healthy fruits. Pears are extremely healthy, having a high fiber content, vitamins, as well as low-cost antioxidants that protect the body, strengthening the immune system. Pears are part of the group of fruits with the least calories. Being rich in fiber, the pears give the sensation of satiety, which means they are recommended in weight lose.

We have a pear tree that is now dying because borer beatle has eaten the tree..but we did get nice pears once, it is in no mans land not in my garden
It lives on average 65 years. Can’t be treated by these pests?
Borer is fatal and cant be stopped unfortunately it was too far gone when I got there but you can stop borer is you catch early. Borer is beetles that eat wood.
The flowers are beautifully captured.
Thank you, Giri! They look like a bouquet!
We used to have pear trees (as well as apples) in our garden when I was growing up. The problem with pears was picking them at the right time. If they got too ripe on the tree they attracted hordes of wasps!
The harvesting of pears takes place before total ripening. They are more difficult to store.

I love all fruits. Pears are extra special.
Fruits are healthy! I think everyone should eat them.
I don’t think pear trees grow in my country, a tropical country, and I have never seen the flowers before. They look beautiful.
It grows in regions with a temperate and humid climate, withstands cold weather, but hot, dry summers prevent fruit from growing.
We had a pear tree in our garden back in Latvia. Every spring it bloomed and it looked lovely and I was sad to see the white blossoms gone with the wind. It gave us sweet and juicy tiny pears that as the fell we gathered but more we ate than kept and it put us on a pear diet because we would eat more pears than anything else,
As a child, I used to eat the pears directly from the tree, to the desperation of the mother who says I have to wash them first! Memories!?
I prefer the softer variety. I love pears.
I love them, too!Pears are among the few fruits that I can eat raw without having a stomach ache.
I actually tried the pear because I saw it here. I have to say it was tasty.
Very good! Fruits are healthy!
Thanks for the reminder of how healthy these pears are. We had trees growing up.
Always with great pleasure, dear Carol!?
