Any fruit is first a flower.
Starting from this reality I thought it was interesting to start a photography project entitled “From flowers to fruits and seeds”.

The peach (Prunus persica) is a deciduous tree native to China. It bears edible juicy fruits called peaches. The flowers are produced in early spring before the leaves. The fruit has yellow or whitish flesh, a delicate aroma.

The flowers are wonderful but I prefer the fruits. What about you?

I have a peach tree in the garden which grew from a pip and I have given away some young peach trees too.
My peach grew also from a pip! It took it about six years to make these beautiful peaches.
That is great to see you grew your own from a pip… I don’t remember how long it took to fruit but think it was 3 years.
that is an interesting idea, from seed to flower to fruit!!!
It would be interesting and so, but … it would take too long. I preferred the variant “From flowers to fruits and seeds” because I can finish the project in a year. Do you understand what I mean??
I think you could easily find a seed for say an apple tree.
then an apple tree growing.
then the flowers
finally the fruit.
but that is just me.
I follow the evolution of the same plant! That was my choice! It’s more interesting to me! I admit that your idea is just as interesting. You could try!

I would rather eat the fruits than the flowers! I love peaches – and nectarines – but the interval between them being just right and starting to go rotten can be annoyingly short.
I don’t think anyone eats peach blossoms!!! My question was about photography!?
On that score, the flower picture is better!
I like canned peaches better than fresh ones. I don’t like the skin. When I was a kid one of my neighbors had a peach tree in their yard. I tried one but just didn’t care for it.
They are healthier in the fresh state! You can clean their skin!
It’s the fuzziness of the skin that I don’t care for. I don’t have much of a sense of taste so the texture of the food becomes a bit more important.

Peaches are my favourite but they are not available here at the moment.

Peaches need a cooler climate which we cannot provide.
You can acclimatize it! As far as I know, low temperatures are more dangerous for peaches. Why don’t you try? ?
I am for something that grows easily and that is how it should be in my opinion
I love peaches and I had seen a tree but without fruit at that time.
Maybe next year it will bear fruit!

That is right, Carol, but from the point of view of photography, here, the peach is more attractive!
