Monarch ~ Saturday Critters

Sharing my first Monarch butterfly of 2019! I have been waiting on these beautiful butterflies all summer. It is usually August before I see them. They seem to wait until the temperatures are really hot before they show up.

This one was camera shy at first, it took about 15 minutes to get this photo. But well worth the effort to me. My day has been made, once again in Dustin’s garden. A very special place.

The migration of the Monarch is something special to learn about. I have talked about it before and might do another post about it. Nature has so much to offer, I keep saying, the little things all around us.

Enjoy nature photography. Amateur self-taught photographer and love every minute of the photos from my yard and Dustin's garden. Sunset views from my deck are very peaceful to watch, capture and share. I have two cats, Brendel and the Dude. I share both special and funny moments I capture of them with you.

Also enjoy seeing and reading your posts from all over the world.

  1. This is a very beautiful Monarch Butterfly, I am aware of the migration of the Monarch Butterflies but it is always great to see them from another view point. I live in a country where they don’t really migrate. Do you get to see them migrating at once to Mexico?
