Kim has a new color this week for us to paint the site with. Blue! I have many photos to choose from for this color. It is my favorite color, always has been.
Did not have any bluebirds or new babies this year. The robins and other birds chased them away. But there is always next year to hope for new families. These eggs were from a few years ago. The eggs are so tiny, like little candy M&M’s is what they remind me of.
Always a joy to see these eggs in the backyard bluebird house. I remember seeing these five in the house and was so excited. I watched them all hatch, grow and fly away. I am patiently waiting for next spring and hopefully have more to share.

A unique shot, your blue is wonderful
I am glad to see these beautiful blue eggs.
Are those eggs for real? I have never seen a blue egg???I still don’t know much about birds.
I missed seeing the pictures this year as well. Hopefully they will be back, they did try this year, right?
Yes they would try and the robins were the culprit. They claimed my yard. But the bluebirds arrived after the robins had babies. So first come first serve I suppose.
I thought I remembered that they tried. I had forgotten who was keeping them away. Darn robins. Blue is way prettier.
I do challenges, once in a blue moon.
I love the picture of the eggs.
Thank you and have a good day Doc.
You always find something great for the challenges. I have also posted one for Blue Challenge yesterday.
You are so kind, I have tons of photos on my computer to pick from. Blue is a good one, my favorite color. Have a good day!
I will have to check my external hard drive, I am not so sure I have too many pictures in blue.
I hope you find something to share Dawn.
Hopefully next year you will have lots of bluebirds.
I hope so, thank you so much.
One thing I never get to see are the nests of birds although I am sure there will be many in our vast garden.
Have already posted on Blue.
I put up this bluebird house in my garden, so I see them. And there are many in the trees I can’t see. They are hidden but that is a good thing, keeps them safe. There is no limit to how many posts for these challenges.
Those eggs seem small. I like your picture.
They are small, the babies are small. But they grow up! Thanks!
I am amused by the color of those eggs.
Amused? These are bluebird eggs. Robin eggs are blue as well.
The bluebird families were missed this year. But I hope they return next year.
Another comment just sitting out here where it should not be. 🙁
Are others having this same problem, the comments are appearing where they should not? Random times.
Yes. I am having the same problem. Usually the first comment I respond to goes wacky. For about two weeks now.
Glad to hear I am not alone with this issue.
Great picture. I didn’t know these eggs were so small.
Thank you, yes they are very tiny eggs.
I remember making a post once about the size. I will have to share it again.
Great photo. Colors are usually the things you just happen upon and then it is good to have a camera handy.
Thanks, I love seeing these in the backyard.
I have always loved the bluebirds and their eggs are just as pretty.
It’s very unusual to get such a good shot of a next. Great challenge picture.
Thanks, I get these every year in my backyard. Except for this year. I have a bluebird house they lay these eggs in, I have tons of photos.
The robins ran off the bluebirds this year.
Shame on them! That was nest btw, not next. I couldn’t change it, of course!
I understand about typos. The robins got to the yard and had babies first, so the bluebirds will have to come earlier next time.
I also painted some blue … an interesting egg color, dear Carol
Thanks, these are my favorite eggs of all.
Again, have a wonderful evening my friend.
I’m glad you had a nice evening, dear Carol … I hope it will be a nice one today
