It finally looks like fall here in Southern California. The maple trees are turning a beautiful color.
The CAL Fire fire team is still suggesting we stay inside as much as possible. There is still a lot of smoke around, so I decided to share photos from 2015 that I took on the 20th of the month.
Two years ago today… I took the dogs out for a run in the old abandoned trailer park near me. This is what I found that was pretty and photo worthy! I hope you think so as well. : )
Enjoy some color today!
I think Maple Trees have the best all around fall color..
More of the park.
You can see the old slab for a trailer or RV in the one below with star pine and lens flare, makes for a good subject.
And of course Meika, she needs freedom to RUN!
And old Maggie Mae, may she rest in peace. Hard to believe she was 18 years old here.
On the trail of a pesky wabbit…
The creek is under all the green, it borders the old park.
Trees…
Closer..
The yellows in this tree were so pretty.
Closer..
I put the camera on the ground, for a rabbit’s point of view..
This grapefruit tree is full of fruit! It’s that time of year, all of our citrus are ready to pick! People do come and pick the fruit on this tree, good to see it is not wasted.
I mentioned that there was a creek that borders this park. This is under the canopy. Pretty green! Which will be our next color added to the challenge..
The creek is a natural water way, it gets shallow and also has deep pools.
The Fan Palms love it here, and are very happy!
I remember this day well two years ago. Pictures are my diary.. I hope you enjoyed all the color!
If you would like to join in and post for the color crazy challenge here is the post with the guidelines.
beautiful pictures, beautiful autumn colors
Thanks so much Branka, yes I love those colors!
Wooow, stunning photos and particularly colors
Thank you Vidocka! Now if we could just have autumn in cool tones!
Love all the photos, they are all great! Thank you for sharing 🙂
Thank you so much, Happy colors!
I love things that just come different than the usual…like when we think of trees the first thing that comes to mind is the color green. Maple tree defies that stereotype and I like that. Great job Maple Tree!
Boy the sure do. I would love to have one in the yard. I wouldnt care about raking those beauties.
Aww that would make your garden even more gorgeous plus Trixie will have something to climb to hahaha Trixie’s face was funny in that photo
lol, she climbs my star pine and pepper tree. I think she got stung in the Pepper tree though, she hasnt been climbing it much. It is full of bees and in full bloom.
Ahahahaha! Bees are nasty if one happens to mess with their hive. Poor Trixie. But the climbing skill of cats is really amazing. Imagine if we have even half of that hahaha I will plan for heist hahaha
OH yeah, I would be your accomplice lol. Did you ever watch the old movie the Doberman Gang? The bad guys trained a pack of dobermans to rob banks. It was so cool. lol Not that I am into robbing banks necessarily … hahaha.
These are all so beautiful Kim, perfect captures!
Thank you Michelle, I hope you liked walking with me. : )
These beautiful photos have been kept for two years but the freshness is still strong today. The freshness of the natural atmosphere, Kim.
As well as the day was for me, the freshness of a great memory. Just an ordinary day spent with the critters. Thank you Albert : ) We had gotten a lot of rain just before the leaves started changing..
Ha! I feel grateful that nature has bestowed his love as rain… Soon I’ll see your other pictures here
Stunning photos, all of them!
Why, thank you Ellie : )
Wow! Nice post! Nice pictures!
Thank you Georgi, I really loved this walk.
What stunning photos Kim, each one has perfect contrast!
Thank you Carol, that’s one thing I struggle on, the contrasts..
Beautiful pictures, love this Autumn colors. 🙂
Thank you Nela, so kind of you to say! Thanks for viewing. : )
Beautiful panoply of colours. Fall is my favourite season after winter, just because of the leaves turning yellow, orange, red… and then falling down and forming a carpet for critters and kids alike to play in.
I guess you can tell I feel the exact same. My kids used to love it when I raked when we lived in Arkansas. : ) So much fun hiding and jumping in the leaves.
I do not have any children, but my poor Tasha (my dog) used to love to play in them and now it is Runt’s (my cat) to take up the playtime.
lol, well that sounds so cute!!!
So bright, jolly & happy colours!!! Liked this post very much!!! Let me to do my bit in your Christmas wishes – https://virily.com/item/christmas-decor-devoted-mans-best-friend/
