Have you ever driven by a place before and wished you had stopped? I have and this is one of those places.
It is on my way to my son and daughter in laws house about 5 miles away.
I finally talked someone into coming with me, and we found a really cool trail here.
Here are the photographs I took last week of this pretty little walk.
You can find my previous post about the Taramix Trees here.
First one starts off under the big canopy of Taramix Trees with their pretty pink blooms.
More of the same place. There were pretty yellow trumpet flowers going among them.
We had to go under here to get to the trail. This is under a four lane express way.
This is my daughter in law with Meika (my wolfdog).
This trail opens up to a trail head with this posted. The animals here.
My animal tops these in the food chain, and knows to watch out for rattlesnakes…
Meika had to be leashed here as this was my first time down this trail.
Notice the fluff under her? This is from the Willow trees. It can give the appearance of snow when it falls.
The road is just above this cool looking rock fence.
Flowers grow on parts of the rock wall…
And a small lake all covered in cat tails on the other side of the trail.
It was shaded and will be a great place for future walks.
Get out and enjoy some nature. Have a great day.
Very unique and divesre views!
Thank you Ellie, glad you liked them. : )
Great walk, Kim.They are lovely photo’s.
So glad you could join me Branka! Thank you and have a great day.
Your walk looks like a real adventure!!! So fascinating places!!!
Thank you Anastasia! : )
Great walk, Kim. Btw, I think that daughter in law so loyal to her mother in law, isn’t it?
I am lucky, he picked a good one. We are friends, and yes she is awesome.
Lovely post, we don’t have snakes in NZ so I wouldn’t know what to do if I saw one. Nice walk though
You just stay clear of them, they are more afraid of you than you are of them. Unless stepped on, you really don’t have a problem. If one is on the trail, just give it a wide berth.
The dogs noise scare everything away. I have only seen one rattlesnake in 10 years.
May have to borrow a dog if I come to the USA if they know the area. LOL!
lol I got a few you could use, theyd be up for a walk. or several.
They are lovely photo’s. And I love your dog, she looks like she’s having a wonderful time!
Thank you, she loves the adventure, and is always game.
Wow what a cool walk, I loved the food chain picture!
Thanks Doc, I wish I could see all of them. Dang dogs scare everything off.
On our Sunday walk, one of our dogs actually killed a groundhog. We didn’t react fast enough. Dogs, are predators!
Great Photo,s and nice article
Thank you so much, glad ya liked them.
You always find the best places to walk. Meika is so happy!
These trees are gorgeous.
Always take time to stop at places you find interesting. This is a great example right?
Absolutely Kim, you never know what you are missing.
What a lovely place to take a walk.
I will be back soon-ish. Thank you Lady!
