How To Make Pom-Poms

Cold rainy days are made for playing with fluffy, soft, warm materials, such as wool. Petting your sheep could do, but I have only cats and dogs, so I have to improvise.

Maybe there are many ways for making pop-poms, but I’ll show you my nana’s way. She was one kind, warm soul and that might be the reason I think of her pom-poms today. Every time, when my siblings, cousins and I felt bored, on our winter holiday, our nana took her threads and  scissors and gave us assignment to make as more pom-poms as we could, pretending she needed them desperately. #2 What Now?

You may attach pom-poms on your caps, scarves, woolen socks, or cardigans, but you may also make toys out of them.

#3 Pom-Poms

Let me be your guide through this step-by-step tutorial.

#5 Step 2

Sew on wrapped thread in the middle. That way, your pom-pom will remain firm.

#6 Step 3

Cut wrapped thread on the edge of the circle, separate circles inserting one longer piece of thread between them and tie it strongly.

#8 No More Steps

No more steps, only pom-poms are here ? I used several different colors, but if you like unicolor than use only one you like. Trim your pom-poms in desirable shape and that's it!
