Africa is the world’s second largest continent in the world in terms of mass and the second most populous continent.
It houses the tallest animal in the world, giraffe and the heaviest animal, elephant.
All of African countries were colonized by foreign powers with the exception of two countries which resisted the invasion into their lands.
Most of the African slaves originate from western countries in Africa – West Africa.
If you would like to behold the largest migration of animals – wildebeests and zebras – then you should visit Serengeti plains (Tanzania) where their journey to Maasai Mara in Kenya commences. They migrate to Maasai Mara in search of greener pasture. The difficulty is in crossing the Mara river which is infested with Nile crocodiles.
The national language in East Africa is Swahili and the official language is English.
