Virily has seen some major changes in the user interface of the authors. I like nearly all the changes, except one. Before talking about the exception, let me say what I like about the changes. The feel of the website is more sophisticated and user friendly. The aesthetic appeal has also improved after these changes. I am yet to see a major change in their content policy, which is probably the need of the hour.
That said, let me talk about the thing that made me cry. I was not serious when I said I cried. I am just making things up. When I started writing in Virily, I was called a newbie on my profile page. Then I started getting promotions regularly. I do not remember how my titles changed. I remember my status changing to expert and legend. That used to give me a huge satisfaction and ego boost.
After recent Virily changes, my status has changed to a newbie. I am back to square one, literally. So why would I not cry? 🙂

You wouldn’t know who is a newbie, an intermediate or advanced user on the site. Maybe they don’t want to show any favoritism….
That is a different perspective. If they don’t want to show favouritism, they could have removed the titles altogether instead of calling us newbies. They may update the status soon.

I certainly like the new changes in Virily now and I am not making it up much more I did not cry over that.
I agree with you. Most of the changes are in the positive direction, making the site look more professional now.
