Happy week, friends!
Here’s a spring photo that will hopefully cheer you up. Even though I am scared of insects in general, I enjoy watching the bees collecting pollen from the blossoms. They aren’t usually aggressive and they just mind their own business. What about you, are you scared of insects? What is it that scares you, being bitten, being contaminated or something else? Do all insects scare you or only certain bugs?

Are you scared of insects?

Yes

No

It depends

Bees are beautiful. I really like your picture
Thank you very much! 🙂
Great photo Ellie! Is that plum or cherry blossoms. (just curious). It’s great to see these. I hope you are having a great summer.
Thank you so much! I think it’s called cherry plum or myrobalan plum in English. I hope you are having a wonderful summer too!
Just incredible photo!!! Adore butterflies, but scare of spiders even though they’re harmless!!!
Thank you so much and I am glad I am not the only one, haha.
Bees are hardworking insects. They do not like to be disturbed or stealing from them
That’s true and I always stay at distance.
If they know you mean no harm to them they ignore you
Thank you very much!
I’m afraid of bees. I’ve experienced being stung by a bee. It gave me a sharp pain and swelling that lasted for hours.
I am sorry to hear that. I have been stung by a wasp, I really dislike them.
very few insects are harmful to us
That’s true, but people don’t always make sense.
yet insist on sapiens as our species name…
Have you seen that interview with people being asked how they feel about the Homo sapiens extinction?
not familiar with it, but I’d use auto genocide in favor of extinction…
I was not afraid of animals. But now that I have been attacked by a duck, I will be more careful.
Animals are unpredictable, so it’s good to be careful.
A wonderful shot. I am afraid only of mosquitoes who are very annoying.
Thank you so much! I agree with you, mosquitoes are really annoying.
Sometimes when confronting a dangerous insect I have had to remove it myself with glass and cardboard
You are brave! Some people just smash them out of fear.
Lovely photo, I am not scared of bees, it depends on what insect it is as there are some insects you should be scared of. Some insects in NZ are poisonous.
However the poisonous insects in NZ will only make you sick not kill you. IN Australia, there are the most deadly snakes and spiders and iguanas
Oh, that’s true, you have it worse over there! But I think even non-poisonous insects can carry some diseases, so it’s better to be careful.

Wonderful photo, dear Ellie …. I’m not afraid of insects … but some are very annoying like mosquitoes … bees are not insects for me

That’s true, friend, mosquitoes are awful!
I am hopeful it will get warm here sometime soon and I will see a bee!
I hope that will happen soon! It’s warmer here, but it’s been rainy for a while.
Great capture – love the color of the flower and bee!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
You are most welcome 🙂
very interesting photo…
Thank you so much, Branka!
All insects are part of nature, and we cannot change it even if we afraid some of them.
Vey wise perspective! Thanks for stopping by!
Some insects like spiders, scorpions are unpleasant. I love bees and butterflies.
They all have their purpose, but I try to stay away from them, haha.
I guess anything that flies scares me … lol
At least I am not the only one who feels uncomfortable even around ladybugs and butterflies, haha.
I’m scared of being misunderstood by insects. We seem to speak very different languages, and I do my best to avoid them. However, I respect these creatures and acknowledge they’re very important for the ecosystem. The bigger the bug, the more I’m frightened.
Haha, they don’t seem to understand us very well indeed. Very wise outlook!
A beautiful photo, wow! I am not afraid but I respect them as I know many will sting you. Hornets are one I try my best to avoid.
That’s very wise. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
