Slovenia is wine-growing country

The wine-growing region of Slovenia is divided into three countries and nine districts. The largest part of the total area of vineyards in Slovenia is in the wine growing region of Podravje, and the largest wine growing region of Styria is also in it. Nearly half of this area is planted with varieties of Laški rizling, Sauvignon, Rhine Riesling and Chardonnay. The second largest is the wine-growing region of Primorje. It is divided into four wine-growing districts: Goriška Brda, Vipava Valley, Karst and Slovenian Istria. The third largest in the wine country is Posavje; It is divided into three wine-growing areas Bizeljsko – Sremič, Bela krajina and Dolenjska. The following varieties of grapes are predominant: velvet, blue frank, russian and russian. Following the consumption of wine, Slovenes with an average of 43 liters per capita were third in the European Union. We are lagging behind only for the Portuguese, they drink an average of 48 liters per capita, and the Luxembourgians, who on average drink more than 50 liters per capita. The European average is 23.9 liters per capita. In average, the least amount of wine is consumed in Poland, only 2.1 liters per capita, which is almost twenty times less than in our country. The vineyard is painted in the Bizeljsko wine region where the vines of Laški rizling are grown

    • Thanks for viewing and friendly comment….I can not comment on this because I have not drunk Georgian wine … but I do not think it’s better than our French and Spanish wines

  1. Ah beautiful wine country shots Lado! I never acquired a taste for wine. Though we do produce it here in Napa Valley California. A lot of people visit the wineries every year.

  2. We are also producers here in Spain, and your post is very interesting, I didn’t know about Slovenia being such a good producer! Good post!

    • Thanks for viewing and friendly comment, dear friend…I know and I know that in Spain you also produce excellent wine

    • Thanks for viewing and kind comment, my friend….I believe that you also have excellent wine in Australia … unfortunately, he does not know … I do not remember to ever try it

  3. Wonderful photo and interesting about the wine processing. I know that they do grow grapes for wine in Latvia as well but when I lived there I never had the opportunity to go see the vineyards.

  4. Thanks for viewing and friendly comment, dear Sharon….I do not drink alcohol in principle … but if something is celebrating, I’m drinking some glass very rarely …

    • Thanks for viewing and friendly comment, dear friend…I do not drink too much … I do drink my average for others

    • Thanks for viewing and kind comment, dear Lacho….you will believe that I remember when I traveled through Bulgaria

    • Thanks for viewing and friendly comment, dear Mohan….And some varieties are really high quality…more than half of the wine is exported, but it still remains enough for us

  5. We drink a bottle of wine, over the course of two or three months (we just don’t drink very often). But we live in the part of Maryland/Virginia where there are a lot of wineries!
