While out and about running errands and appointments, I stopped for a bite to eat. This cool looking green ceramic bird candle caught my eye. The yellow blouse behind it was nice as well.
I have never seen a green bird before. It was something different to see and it reminded me to look outside the box as I go along this thing called life.
There is often more than what I see in my backyard.

Do you often need reminders to change your routine?

I love the look of this bird, we have some green birds in New Zealand, I like to go into shops and look at odd things. Some are called Opportunity shops which are run for charity.
We can always find something interesting to grab our eye at first glance.
I had to look at it more than once cause it looked so interesting, and you know I love green lol.
Yes and it looked really nice with that yellow blouse behind it. 🙂
We don’t have any cool green birds here either. Not real ones that is. I have seen one that was a yellowish green here though. Cool looking candle and shirt. The shirt looks comfy and I like that material.
I change my routine by going to different places when I hike. Other than that. I do the same routine every day, so I totally understand. Was that in the place you had lunch at?
Yes Kim, this was at Cracker Barrel. They always have tons of cool stuff. I just liked the green bird with the candle, he was about two feet tall, pretty big. And the blouse was really nice as well. May have to go back for the one. 🙂
I know you seem to always be finding new places to hike and share with us.
Oh, I miss the cracker barrel. We don’t have them here. Boo!!! I want some biscuits and gravy please! I love to just look around at all the merchandise. Love the honeys and jams. Yum!
Thank you and they all have the same theme. WATER!! I actually follow someone who goes and finds all the waterfalls in the country and hikes them. Wouldn’t that be something.
Are you serious? I cannot believe you don’t have them there. They are everywhere here. They are headquartered nearby too. I would love to hike/walk the waterfalls. Wow, such beauty.
The closest one is in Yuma AZ. 🙁 boo hiss.
FYI the Amazon ad for your post was a lot of Green Ceramic Birds!
Your point is so spot on. I know, I travel from my house to my office in a simply amazing forest. From my house to the Potomac River is filled with history. White’s Ferry, used to move troops across the river during the Civil war and during the Revolutionary War.
I have to remember to stop sometimes, and just enjoy the majesty!
Funny how the ads are usually spot on to what your post is about.
We all need to stop and look around every day. Life is passing us by pretty quickly.
The ad engine actually searches your text and pictures. Ergo getting close!
Yes I know and I am not crazy about it, we are being followed.
Yes we are.
The good news is that makes Virily money.
Oh wait, the bad news is it follows us!
A very interesting ceramic bird … I also do not remember any green birds … maybe some parrot?
Thanks, it all had a candle inside and was really nice Lado. There are many parrots and a few green wild birds, I just have not seen any in my yard.
Sometimes we do not notice the things that are around us.
You are right and that was my point here, we should all take a pause from time to time. Good to see you Robin.
I should look outside the box
Yes, we all should do this more often!
Yes at some point , I need reminder to change my routine
We all need reminders in life, here’s yours! 🙂
We have couple of green birds here but this one beats them all 🙂
There are a lot here too but I never see them in my yard.
Glad you like this one.
Parrots are green and there are other green birds to, like the barbets .
Yes, but parrots are usually caged as pets, I was referring to wild birds. They are out there but none in my backyard.
all animals instinctively see out a routine. Humans can actively audit their routines and decide if they are beneficial or not…
Yes you are right. I personally have to change my routine and way of thinking or I can easily get into a downward spiral.
but you have the ability to recognize self destructive patterns and change them
Yes you are right, thank goodness it is my survival instinct.
you have a survival instinct and the awareness to heed it
We often do not even notice wonderful and slightly different things
That is true, life is all about those little things.
I have received notifications but do not see the comments here. Strange.
Weird maybe it got reported? Just guessing…
I’ve seen green birds before! I rear one…
this one in Pamela’s post >>> https://virily.com/lifestyle/happiness-quote/ 🙂
But yes, I need lots of reminder to get things done … :p
I don’t know this was strange to me. Yes I have seen green caged birds but not wild birds.
I guess the green birds are better in hiding in nature :p
Yes they can camouflage easier. Good point.
