Last of the Butterflies ~ Day 320

This Fritillary butterfly will probably be the last butterfly photo of 2018 from my garden. Although it is a very common butterfly, it is so beautiful and the markings are incredible. When the blooms start disappearing so do the butterflies. I will keep looking for more but this may be it for the season. I am not complaining as the butterfly bush has earned its name as usual. If you do not have one in your garden you should try to get one. I plan to add another one. Nature is something else.

  1. I love those kinds of butterflies. Great shot. Next year I will be able to see more of them with that black knight. So it is time for them to quit blooming. I was thinking I did something wrong, mine has one bloom left.
My fav visitor is my hawk friend. Oh and guess what I had in my yard yesterday.
    A Ruby Red hummer!!
