How many steps a day are enough?

Walking is sometimes underestimated, but it is also considered a movement and even more important for maintaining health. For the well-being would be enough already 10,000 steps per day. Don’t have time to exercise because of the abundance of chores? Nothing, therefore, can exercise while you edit completely everyday things. Follow the steps on your way to work, shop, or meet a friend, and by the way, you’ll reach the number 10,000, which is sufficient for a healthy and active lifestyle. Every step counts! I’m very good at holidays. As you can see in the picture, I reached 100,000 steps a few days ago.

  1. I have a pedometer on me all day. At present it is on 5,414 and yesterday it reached 10,479 – but that was unusual. I did have a day when on holiday a few weeks ago when we walked all day and topped 23,000 steps – never bettered before or since!

  2. I have a pedometer installed on my phone. My record is 11 482 steps in a day. That equals 7580 meters I walked 2 hours 13 minutes and consumed 610 calories.

    • I have an app on my phone. Today I took a walk of 5930 meters. 9930 steps, and I walked for 1 hour 40 minutes. I only consumed 244 calories. You were better in calories ?

    according to the newest study (over the last 5 years)

    Women, for health, wellness and longevity need to walk between 7500 and 8000 seps a day.
    Men for health and wellness need to reach 10,000 steps a day.

    These new numbers and the study show that woman don’t gain significant value above 7500 steps a day.

  4. I was listening to Oprah Winfrey once and she said one needs to take atleast 10,000 steps. I do not count but walk a lot throughout the day.

  5. I like to try to walk or go to the gym but I have to count the minutes…Life, yes, I agree walking is one of the best exercise.
    If it hurts too much to walk too far, water walking in a pool is great because there is no weight on the limbs.
