Continuing with Alibb’s Alphabet Crazy Challenge. Behind, but I will keep going. The letter O brings our friend Cotton, the rescued owl.
Our local state park has rescued Cotton and one more owl from the wild. They have a secure enclosure and are well take care of.
I visit as often as possible, and it always makes my day to see these beauties safe and secure.

I love seeing Cotton in your posts!
Thanks, I do too, and always love visiting her.
Awe, there he is. Enjoying the sunshine I see. Good to hear he is doing well. I was wondering about him a few months ago and forgot to ask if youd been to see him.
Yes, Cotton is so pretty, she has a friend now, remember? I need to get more photos of her.
I had almost forgotten about Cotton. Thanks for the reminder.
You are welcome, she is only five minutes away, I visit her often. And her friend now.
I wondered when Cotton would make a return visit!
Yes, Cotton is still around, I love visiting her. And she has a friend now in a separate area.
i am glad they are healing and helping her! We lose too many birds now.
It’s good that Cotton has been rescued! It looks so pretty, but it seems like it’s sad.
I have not seen a wild owl before, I only saw it in the cage.
Yes, it made me happy to know she is now safe.
Yes some time ago I saw owl in night..
That is cool, I love seeing the owls.
Well hello Mr Cotton. Glad to see you are doing well and not getting in harm’s way. Oh I know you would rather be free but you cannot because of your broken wing. You sure are a nice looking hibou (owl) Mr Cotton. See you soon again later…
She says thank you very m much kind lady. 🙂 She has a friend now as well. I need to get to know her/him more and share as well.
We had saved an eagle from the crows sometime back. Someone had shot it with a rubber bullet and it fell to the grown. We called the wild life reserve and they came and picked up the bird. Now it is flying free after treatment we were told. Its so wonderful to see animals rescued and living life they way they should.
Oh wow, that is great Dawn. I would love to see an eagle up close. What a wonderful thing you did!
That is a wonderful looking owl. I love owls and have seen one in nature and more at zoos,
She is beautiful and so very soft. I enjoy visiting her.
The rescued owl looks gorgeous. I’ve never seen an owl.
Yes he is stunning, and even more so in person. So soft.
NIce to rescue wild animals but I would have been happy if they were provided with a wider confined area. I was in Nepal a few years ago and there birds were kept in a huge confined area with trees and stuff.
Yes, I am happy to see them safe and taken care of.
This is a small park and they do the best they can, the shelter is plenty of room. And they take him/her out for visitors and school outings sometimes.
Nice to hear that. I am an animal lover and I can write a book on the sacrifices I make for the sake of my pets.
I am glad to read the owl was rescued. All wild animals and birds must live free.
Yes, same here. It makes me happy.
I too see few rescued animals and feel sad about them. But it’s good for them at that moment.
This brings me joy to see the animals rescued.
It seems you are an animal lover!
I remember you wrote about this owl before and I’m glad it was well taken care of … you did a great job, dear Carol
Yes I have written many times about these owls at the local park. Thank you!
Beautiful oval seen in this picture
Thank you, I have to agree.
I remember this bird from your previous posts. It is beautiful! I saw this bird often when I was living in my home village.
Yes they are both so beautiful!
She lives in a cage.
It would have been better for her to be free.
No Robin, her wing was broken and it could not be fixed. She would not have survived. They only keep them in cages when they cannot protect themselves.
It was justified. Maybe I didn’t say it well.
Sorry for the bad comment.
No problem, I misunderstand sometimes.
