First off a couple of followups:
Time of day and publication = a question that was asked by Albert. Overall I have found the following based on my posts. Between 5 am and 6 am EDT which translates to evening in Asia and late morning in Europe is the best time for me.
Social media sharing – I see far more results from Twitter than Facebook
(please feel free to share your input on this topic in the comments)!
I was asked by a long time reader to talk briefly about Anti-Virus packages. The problem with programs like that is updating. If you keep them up to date, they are awesome; if they are even one signature out of date, you are at risk. However, the two that I use and like are McAfee and Malwarebytes. McAfee does a great job on your PC for virus, bots and other risky things. Malwarebytes watches for bots, malware, and other things. The nice thing about both is they have a mobile (phone) and desktop version. Malwarebytes also now offers a cellphone and home pheon scam blocking package. Most phone companies in the US give you free anti-spam software for your phones. Malwarebytes works very well in the space, but always start with the free application and see if it is good enough.
Another longtime reader question was around the release of 5g services for phones in Minneapolis and Chicago in the US. The ask was what about the rest of the world? So Orange and Deutsche Telecom both have 5g pilots in Europe today. NTT has a pilot in Korea and Japan. I haven’t heard of a lot of other pilot 5g programs but will continue to watch and share when they come to be.
Last, although not a question, rather an interesting situation, is something I noticed. First off, I don’t like the color purple. That said, the number of purple flowers on Virily has impressed me in the last couple of days. I still don’t like purple, but I am enjoying all the purple on the site. That said I am not joining the challenge. I have to say the 365-day photo challenge burned me out of challenge mode for a while!

The only social media site that I belong to where I can promote this is FB. I am not confident with my posts for my friends and relatives to read. ?
Makes perfect sense to me!
In addition I am not that active in FB. I can’t promote this to mylot.
MyLot is nice for asking questions but they won’t let you share links to Virily. I tried, once and had my post deleted by the moderator.
oh yeah, I don’t do that in mylot.
I found out about that one! I haven’t been on MyLot very long so I am still trying to understand the application of rules!
ahhh I see, then that’s it, we can’t promote our articles there.
One of the longtime users actually has been guiding me. He said “Mylot” doesn’t allow links to sites that you make money on.
yes, that’s true and you can’t just say how are you in a response or comments. that is considered “personal” so you may use message system according to him.
One more question to you now that you have touched upon 5G. Is it true that scores of birds actually died during a 5G trial?
No that is not true. Birds are killed often by a number of things.
1. High Voltage power lines
2. HOUSE CATS
3. Windows
The last two kill more birds than anything. The 5g solutions don’t impact birds in any way. If they did, they would kill humans as well (by the way, Cats kill more birds than anything else. Simple house cats!)
Purple is the color of European royalty, most likely taken from the Romans by way of the Egyptians. Yellow is the color of Asian royalty, and it is also the compliment of purple. So I think that’s pretty interesting
#colortheorypolice
Either way I don’t like purple!
But I did forget the delta, I believe there was also a color for royalty in Polynesia and in the south america.
I expect any culture with a notion of royalty would have a reserved color. I just enjoy that east and west are opposites and used opposing colors for royalty
That is interesting, the sun rising in the east (yellow) and setting in the west (purple)
I hadn’t even thought of it that way. it just keeps getting better…
I can’t take credit that comes from a Somerset Maugh essay from the 1930’s.
you can take credit for being well read
A very interesting post. So you get more results from Twitter than from Facebook? I will share my posts on Twitter then I think.
Checking the twitter dashboard I get many more engagements from Twitter than Facebook. Now, I have more “regular” readers on Facebook but more new readers on Twitter.
Again a very interesting post. I’m from Europe and I do not know when we get 5g. I participate in a challenge when I miss ideas for a post ?
depends on the part of Europe you are in. Orange and DT are aiming for Germany (around Berlin) London and Paris in the next couple of months.
I’m just somewhere in the middle of these countries (Slovenia). Maybe it will come to us?
Yes you should be getting 5g services in the next two/three years max.
Each to his own about colors and joining the challenges. They are all options.
🙂 so very very true. I will survive i suspect!
It will only get worse from here with spring in the air. 🙂
That I suspect is sadly true
I am suddenly so into the color purple it is like something is prodding me to get as much purple as possible.
oh no
please less purple! No more purple 🙂
I have quite a few concerns about the color … some say that the dark blue of the other is again dark purple so I’m a little confused
I just stay away from color challenges. 🙂
Most clever … this color really puts me in a dilemma … I do not even know if I will publish it yet
I understand that, I have always told Kim I don’t do the color challenges.
I’m trying to make an effort, but I do not know if I always succeed
I am in the same boat – it can be hard at times.
And this ship is on a turbulent sea hahaha
Now that is a very true analogy!!!
Indigo is a spiritual color and also represents wisdom and great devotion. I have trouble differentiating indigo, purple and lavender though ?
I, maintain my dislike of the color, purple. I love the book “The color purple” but not the color, purple.
Lol! If you were my brother I would say, please try and manage that dislike because you might end up with zucchinis and purples in your next life ??? alright, I am being a pixie. I like teasing people about stuff they don’t like ?
the sheer threat of zucchini makes me wince. That is one veggie I hate as well, although I do love eggplant!
Purple should be about evenly red and blue. Indigo is a very deep blue with a hint of red, while lavender is the opposite; a light warm purple…
#colortheorypolice
You are an artist Mr. A, you would know the slight variation of colors. I call everything with blue as blue. Blue with more red is violet. Violets with richer tone I call indigo. Violets with lighter tones I call purple or lavender ??? now I want black and white ?
you are more or less correct
Based on this comment one would assume you are running for office 🙂
In the words of the Sandler Boogs “Poets who read their poems out loud, have other nasty habits as well.”
I do know poets are artists, but the color I paint with is word!
Ohhh of nasty habits, I have lots of those. The good ones I cannot remember ??? as people do not complain about the good ones. They only tell you the bad. Ungrateful ??. And yes, I sometimes read poems out loud as pronunciation practice
One person’s nasty habits is another person communication style!
I hate Zucchini more than anything. Purple yes, tastes bad yes!
ok the hashtag is hilarious. We should make a tv show starring you. Colornet and your tag line is “just the hues ma’am, just the hues!”
Ladies and gentlemen: the picture you are about to see is mine. Only the colors have been changed to protect the innocent…
Hahahaha and today we have guests, the zucchini squad who will tell yah why it is important to include them in your diet ?
sadly then, I am not protected. I was last innocent more than 40 years ago.
