We have a special day – Day of Remembrance and Sorrow (22 June) – the beginning of The Great Patriotic War (1941-1945), but I usually visit the grave of my grandmother in other days to avoid crowds of people.
You see how different we are-I’m also going to the crochet, most of all, to the plain day of the year when there is no crowd
We don’t have such celebrations in my country. But we usually visit the tomb on the day before of religious holidays.
This is also common with us – this is a special day dedicated to the dead souls
Remembering and dedicated those who have died has its own meaning.
Dead soul?
It probably has an even greater significance in you
Hmmm… I’m just curious about the view that the soul can be dead.
Yes, we also visit the grave of our departed loved ones on this day.

Alex-I apologize, or can you tell me where this SoCal is
My bad- socal is short for Southern California. Los Angeles, to be specific…
Alex thanks for the information
sorry, I am used to shortening it
In Bulgaria, November 1 is the National Awakening Day dedicated to educators and scholars. One of the days of prayers for the souls is on Saturday.
Very interesting and different nations are celebrating differently

We go to the cemetery on the 2nd of November. 1st is All Saints Day.
In our country, November 1 is the day of all the saints, and on that day we are going to the cemetery
Now I lit candles for my parents, friends and bf who passed away. It’s 2nd of November here now.
It’s just that we have only one day of difference
I do not think that we have such a holiday here in Canada, although on November 11 the, we take one minute of silence and celebrate Veteran’s day just like other countries.
Thank you for your explanation
Here in New Zealand we did not celebrate Halloween but its become commercial now and only just for children.
The Anglican church called it “All Souls Day” but generally as most don’t go to church ignore it.
However, I often go to Mums grave and see that her flowers are right. They are only plastic flowers from the $2 shop but ones that look bright and pretty. I don’t have any particular day to visit.
Thanks for the explanation – we are very different in certain things – so it’s good that we are not all the same
We do not have a day of the dead, we have a day on the 3rd of November for the soul.
Thanks for the explanation – we are very different in certain things – so it’s good that we are not all the same
We have a holiday in our country
Vidocka thanks for viewing and kind comment

Thank you for your information – it’s very interesting and thank you for viewing and commenting
Do you have another day when you visit mass graves?
There is a cemetery across the road. I usually go there once a month and clean things up. I don’t know anyone who is buried there, but I like it to look nice.
This is very nice of you – there are few such people
We do not have that holiday here.
