I believe I applied for 2 at the field museum, but I will look for openings at the Navy Pier tonight. 1 Log in to Reply I’m thinking on the lines of marketing myself amongst people that tour the city. It would actually be fun because I have a central Illinois accent that would drive tourist wild, a mixture of Illinois & Missouri. 1 Log in to Reply that sounds like a blast Thomas! 1 Log in to Reply Yes it does. I get excited thinking about it. 1 Log in to Reply There is so much history there. You can talk about the Sears nee Willis Tower. You can talk about the great fire. You can talk about the city on 9-11-2001. I was actually in downtown Chicago that day. It was a ghost town. I have never felt more alone in my life. 1 Wow! The 9-11-2001 sounds crazy. This is just one of my posts pertaining to some of the history ( The Picasso; Memoriam; Miró’s Chicago – 365 Photos Challenge 28 – 30 https://virily.com/challenges/the-picasso-memoriam-miros-chicago-365-photos-challenge-28-30/?mref=1065 via @virilycom) 1 Log in to Reply I will check it out, thank yoU!!! 1 i love the field museum. I have a picture of my family with Sue standing over them! 1 Log in to Reply Cool. They actually just brought Sue back to the field museum. Back when I visited Chicago while living in Virginia I believe. I took a hilarious picture with a frightful face selfie picture with Sue in the back. Bears vs Seahawks, lol. Of course the Bears lost. 1 Log in to Reply And I had no idea about the history of the Navy Pier. It would be nice if they had some sort of history placard outside, but maybe they have one inside that I just missed. I have actually been inside of the Navy Pier like 3 or 4 times. 1 Log in to Reply I think there is a history of navy pier exhibit in the Children’s museum. But I don’t remember for sure. 1 Log in to Reply I will seek it out and share it. 1 Log in to Reply I am a collector of lighthouse things. I would love to visit many in my lifetime.
