1. Last night actually applied for a few jobs in the area. I believe I applied for 2 at the field museum, but I will look for openings at the Navy Pier tonight.

   • I’m thinking on the lines of marketing myself amongst people that tour the city. It would actually be fun because I have a central Illinois accent that would drive tourist wild, a mixture of Illinois & Missouri.

         • There is so much history there. You can talk about the Sears nee Willis Tower.

           You can talk about the great fire.
           You can talk about the city on 9-11-2001. I was actually in downtown Chicago that day. It was a ghost town. I have never felt more alone in my life.

     • Cool. They actually just brought Sue back to the field museum. Back when I visited Chicago while living in Virginia I believe. I took a hilarious picture with a frightful face selfie picture with Sue in the back. ( https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/field-museum-chicago-2?select=ldXaGiNogND0DkOEETkePg&userid=qdY_Tk-SzYUQk8S2-7nMAw). I believe that was the weekend I went to my first Bears game too. Bears vs Seahawks, lol. Of course the Bears lost.

2. And I had no idea about the history of the Navy Pier. It would be nice if they had some sort of history placard outside, but maybe they have one inside that I just missed. I have actually been inside of the Navy Pier like 3 or 4 times.

   • I think there is a history of navy pier exhibit in the Children’s museum. But I don’t remember for sure.
