Here’s another photo I took of the wild roses covered in raindrops. I think that these drops make the flowers look so fresh and alive. I also like the combination of pink and green.
When was the last time you picked flowers? When I was little, I would instantly feel like picking every beautiful flower I see. Now, taking a photo satisfies my needs as a collector. Plus, a photo usually lasts longer than a flower in a vase. What do you think?
“If you love a flower, don’t pick it up.Because if you pick it up it dies and it ceases to be what you love.So if you love a flower, let it be.Love is not about possession.Love is about appreciation.”― Osho

Great quote! I usually leave blooms on the plants because I can go out and see them. And they do last longer that way. I do pick camellias but I have a huge bush that is up to the roof! It’s gorgeous when loaded with flowers.
Thank you so much! It’s great you can pick and enjoy camellias both outside and indoors. Flowers always lift my mood.
I love the quote and it is true love is appreciating not possessing.
That’s beautifully put! Thank you for stopping by!
Red and pink roses are always attractive..
They are all beautiful 🙂
Great message indeed.
Thank you very much for your kind words! 🙂
Beautiful Post I like this thanks for sharing
Thank you for your kind words!
I was wondering why people waste roses on valentine. After 14 gardens are littered with them.
Unfortunately, it’s all about business and money.
You made a beautiful point here about possession and appreciation. I know now I never want to pick a flower. I will just appreciate it while looking at it.
Thank you so much! Glad to hear your wise decision! 🙂
I prefer to adore flowers in nature and in the garden
It’s always best to let them live and enjoy them for a longer time.
Beautiful photo, but I have to say that deadheading some flower varieties makes them flower more, whereas if they are left alone the strength of the plant goes to making seeds. So when we pick those flowers we are doing them a favor by prolonging the blooming season as well as bringing them indoors to enjoy.
That’s true and it’s a great point of view! Sometimes, it just doesn’t feel right to pick it up, but it’s helpful indeed.
Totally agree with the wise thoughts expressed in your publication. And share your feelings that taking a photo satisfies my needs as a collector. Your shot is so adorable, it seems that the flower lives and breathes!!!
Thank you so much for your kind words, Anastasia! Have a wonderful new week! 🙂
This is so gorgeous. Seeing the rain drops is really cool
Thank you very much for your kind words!
You have a special beauty around you, Ellie…
Btw, we have put the same meaningful quotes, right?
Great minds think alike! Thank you so much, Albert! I may be accused of misleading people by only sharing the beautiful things, but I think the bad ones are easier to see anyway.
Hahaha… you’re right, Ellie. The ugliness is indeed easier to see, maybe even look for… Haha… But I don’t quite understand why you can be accused of misleading by sharing beautiful things?
I have seen it before. Luckily, not on Virily.
Oh, I see… That’s about how people tend to behave.
You know how I love taking photos, they last a lifetime.
This is gorgeous!
Thank you so much, Carol! Taking photos has so many benefits, it’s a pity that there are still people who stare at hobby photographers as if they are crazy. 😀
I much prefer to take a picture of flowers, there is a magic in capturing the moment!
That’s true, especially when you have to fight with the wind to take the photo, hehe.
Also very true, the wind often interferes with pictures!
Yeah, it always starts blowing exactly when I am trying to take a flower photo!
Usually it blows a bee off the flowers onto me, and I get stung.
Oh, that’s true too! I am really scared of bees and insects. So instead of going for a macro/close up, I try taking bee photos by zooming in. The quality is not that good, but at least I am at a safe distance. 😀
I just figure if the bee is going to sting me, oh well. But I don’t take that many macro pictures that I have to worry about that…
I can’t agree with you more. I refuse to buy flowers for this reason, and it pisses women off. I offer to buy them plants instead, but that doesn’t go over well at all…
Hehe, lately you can find cheap flower pots with blooming flowers here for every holiday. Sometimes they last as much as a bouquet, though.
Plants should last much longer than a bouquet…
They wrap them in something that makes them grow faster, but doesn’t let them live long. It’s business.
I don’t understand the practice at all
Do you mean the wrapping of the roots, or why it’s done?
Why folks want dead plants to begin with
All women do not feel this way… just sayin’. 🙂
I don’t need everyone to agree with me, or even to understand the motives of those who don’t but sometimes I get confused. You definitely strike me as someone who would prefer a living plant…
beautiful photo, the rain drops make it even more beautiful
Thank you very much, Branka!
Wonderful photography and true.
Thank you very much, Kim!
Yet a picture doesn’t die and I mostly photograph the flowers where they belong.
That’s true, Pamela! And photos help us pay more attention to the beauty around us.
This is a beautiful photo and sometimes some one picks a flower from someones place and throws it on the road. I usually take that flower home because it has someone to appreciate it.
This reminds me about The Nightingale and the Rose. It’s a pity that people do that, they are usually children but still parents should teach them about it.
In the picture it does not die, it always remains beautiful and fresh.
I agree with you, Elenka!
