Enjoying the Insects on my Garden Flowers!

I take a lot of macro photos. And because of this I see a lot of bugs and tiny insects most would normally miss. One reason I enjoy macro photography. This photo is a bee who has managed to get down in the depths of my Hibiscus bloom to find the nectar.

Another photo I was lucky enough to get was of my deck sedum. The wasps seem to enjoy the sedum for whatever reason. I also have butterflies perched on the plant I will pst later. But for now this wasp was enjoying himself on my sedum. Maybe it was the sunlight.

Lastly I was out taking Rose of Sharon photos, as I do often. I noticed a bee enjoying the nectar. They really flock to the Rose of Sharon bushes. It produces tons of nectar for these big bumblebees. I keep my distance but also take advantage of the times they are growing in the nectar and not paying any attention to me or my camera. Hope you enjoyed my photos!

  1. Well I know these creatures have a purpose in our ecosystem, I really can’t get into them. I accept their existence. I know they’re there. But if I’m being honest, I’d rather not see them. Your photos are really lovely though. It’s amazing you could get that close. When I see an insect I run in the opposite direction. 🙂
