This is number 3 in a series of photographs taken along the shoreline in Gulf Shores, Alabama. In this image I enhanced the color only. These fish formed a long procession that stretched as far as the eye could see in either direction along the shore. The fish swam along together for over two hours and I was captivated. In all my years of beach vacations I have never seen anything like this.

If you have seen anything like this before or know anything about fish I would love to learn more about what I experienced. I don’t know what kind of fish, if they were babies, where they were possibly going, etc. You are invited to share your experience with me in the comment section.

  1. My extended family. We were on a picnic! Grin. They probably just hatched, waiting for night to take up their hiding places. Also if a predator approaches, we school together for safety…SpLaSh! >-=^;>
