In my bluebird blog series I have been talking about the excitement in Dustin’s garden with the bluebird family. In my last blog Baby Update four babies hatched which left one egg. As I said, this is not uncommon. Sometimes it will be a day or two later before the last one hatches, if it hatches at all. Well here is the update on the last egg….

Yes we have FIVE bluebird babies now. All snuggled in the nest. As they grow the nest will be very crowded. I check them every day to make sure there are no predators. Not sure if you can see this or not but if you look closely the baby in the very back has a worm. I have never captured this before. Usually the parents feed and they are gone. Surprised and excited to get this shot. Of course there will be more updates along the way.
They are so precious! I had to pin this for others to see these babies.
Thank you Andria, I have these every year in my yard.
I have very much enjoyed reading this series and watching your baby birds with you as they have hatched.
Thank you and now the journey begins, each day they are growing!
80% is a pretty good rate, but let’s hope the last once appears!
100% Doc, there are five babies there. 🙂
Amazing! For some reason I only saw 4! Might be time for new reading glasses!
They are heard to see when they are this tiny.
What a special and amazing experience! Thanks for sharing it with us!
And I thank you for feeling the excitement Ellie. 🙂
Sooooo happy you have got all 5. i kept praying!
Thanks LaJenna, It is still a fragile time as they are tiny.
Great update, and glad that all 5 are there now! That’s awesome 🙂
I know Courtney, so very excited as always to see these babies.
You got all five? Way to go!
Indeed there are five Alex. 🙂
There was some uncertainty over the last egg hatching, but you got all five. Optimal outcome for Carol
Yes it hatched the day after the other four! They are changing every day. Updates coming soon.
You’re breaking well above average, keep it going!
The house will be crowded soon as these five continue to grow.
The bluebird couple’s happiness is complete, as complete as our happiness has been waiting for their presence. Great day for the parents and a lovely day for us.
Absolutely Albert, such excitement in the garden. 🙂 They are changing every single day.
I am so glad to hear it, Carol.
They are so cute! So small! Lovely birds!
They are my bluebirds of happiness Elena!
My aunt did not seem to have that issue that I remember.
That is great! It always depends on your area as well.
I love blue birds. They are so cute and colorful. I also like the bluebird houses people make for them. My aunt had one on the pasture fence.
I love them as well, they hold a special place in my heart. Bluebirds of Happiness. Not a good idea to have a house on a fence. Predators such as cats and snakes can easily get to them. Thanks for the comment.
