This is a drawing that I did last year of Daenerys Targaryen and her dragon Drogon. I’m a fan of the TV series and have purchased the first book. I’m going to wait until the TV series concludes before starting the books as I don’t want to mix up the two.
I like Emilia Clarke who plays Daenerys anyway, so this was a fun drawing to undertake. This was quite a large drawing and measured 24” x 30”. I used standard graphite pencils on quite heavily grammed artist quality paper.
I am still learning to draw with pencils and this was early on last year when I decided to give it a go, and one of the first drawings I did once that decision was made.

Although I am usually a fan of anything SciFi or fantasy, I never got into Game of Thrones for some reason. Terrific artwork, however.
I’d also recommend Anne McCaffrey’s Pern novels.
