One of things that make me happy is being in my garden. While I am there these little things bring me much more happiness. These Gazanias here made me so happy when they bloomed in a tiny pot.
Watching the seed trays show spots of greenery.
Watching a tiny cutting that I took from someone show signs of vigorous life.
Seeing my plants in bloom
Watching the birds and butterflies come to my garden.
Just sitting there and enjoying the peace and the freshness of the garden.
Writing a poem or just typing down my ideas as they occur.
Taste the fruits of my hard work in the garden.

I totally understand you. The garden also makes me very happy.
I like gardening too but don’t always have the time I need to put into it.
I agree it takes a lot of time and effort, and if you are like me with no additional help it could break your back.
I have also found that out to my cost.
I never learn my lessons. 🙁
I like the challenge!!
It’s like a little reminder to look out for happy things 🙂
Sadly I accidentally clicked “no” in the 2nd qns LOL
I love this challenge for the same reasons as well. It is a great reminder to be positive.
Accidents happen, no worries. 🙂
Beautiful gazanias! I am enjoying Ellie’s challenge, but, unfortunately, I have not participated yet!
Thank you Ileana , jump in, the more the merrier.
I like the challenge. You get to know things your friends on the community like doing like yours about garden and writing poems.
Yes, it does indeed. We reveals our personal side through these posts.
I like this challenge. I am enjoying this challenge.
It is wonderful In’st it? All thanks to Ellie925.
Can I be a flower in your garden? Great images. Love that butterfly. I have never seen one like that here.
You are so welcome sweet Kim. I will shower you with love till you bloom LOL . it is the Castalius rosimon, the Pierrot butterfly, these are quite small but can cause severe damage to plants like jade and kalanchoe.
Awe, thats sweet. I need blooms!! Awesome you know the name, now I can see if we have them here. Jade and Kalanchoe? I don’t think I want them here. My jade and kalanchoes would be in trouble, and I didnt think they had any natural pests, besides water that is.
I had to know the name because I lost many plants to this tiny tyrant. I agree it is hard to kill Jades or Kalanchoes except by over watering.
You should make a video of your garden like Norman’s wife does. Have you seen their garden videos? I would love to see one of yours.
I haven’t met anyone called Norman here. I would love to see their videos. I have made a few videos of my garden and put them up in Bitlanders where I used to write until they became a non paying site.
Norman Darlington, he does a lot of quizzes. His wife’s You Tube page is

There are very awesome vides of their garden. Check em out.
What a gorgeous flower.
Always admire the patience from someone who do gardening.
That is true. gardening is the classroom for cultivating patience.
Patience is something I’m need to work on. LoL
your pictures made me happy.
I cannot imagine the blend of time, patience and love it takes to grow a plant from a cutting.
Doc, it is often easier to grow plants from cuttings than from seeds. Thank you for your kind words sir.
i fail at both so i am probably not a good example!
Doc, each of us have our own areas of interest. Your’s I understand is technology. I am backward in that area .
thank you, and yes that is very true!!!
this is really beautiful flower , thanks for sharing
Thanks you WittyFeeds. I am glad you like it.
Your feature image looks like a painting and I know you are capable of producing flowers that look like paintings.
You have a lovely garden Dawn
Thank you grace, I have never been able to get this color anymore. So this is special to me .
That is the sad part where nature dominates.
So true, But I will keep hunting till I get this. This is one of the plants I lost while we moved homes.
Lovely photos. I know my garden in Latvia also made me happy
From your posts and comments I see that you really miss Latvia.
It is not Latvia I miss, I miss my soul mate and the time we shared there Dawn
I am so sorry Rasma, (((hugs))) I cannot pretend that I fully understand your pain. It is really tough, especially during this season. Sending your good wishes and prayers. (((hugs)))
Thank you very much, Dawn and virtual hugs back to you. I always read that it gets easier as time goes by but after two years it could have been yesterday that I lost him
Great pictures, dear Dawn … I’m glad your garden makes you happy
Thank you Lado, It really does. 🙂
With great pleasure, dear Dawn
It’s always so nice to find things that make you happy. Your garden is wonderful, and the photos are gorgeous!
I have been writing down things that make me happy, compliments, or difficulties I have overcome. Rereading them in hard times is really helpful.
Absolutely, reminding ourselves of all the challenges we have faced and all the blessings we have received makes the toughest challenges seem easy.
I absolutely enjoy your challenge Ellie. 🙂
I also enjoy being in my garden and seeing all the plants and flowers.
It is always lovely to meet fellow gardeners. 🙂
