Both an interesting and fun quiz. 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it Robert!
The word “robot” has nothing to do with ancient Greeks. That word is literally invented by Czech writer Carol Chapeck. It is derived from Slavik “rabota” which means work. Also, Carol Chapeck is consider to be father of robotic science.
I know. I made this quiz at like 4:00 AM when I was submitting it. The admins didn’t put it in the drafts so I could edit it. So it it what it is Zaklina! We’re human beings. Nobody is perfect.
Oh, don’t take it personally. Nobody’s perfect. That’s why we rely on other people, to help us make less mistakes. Besides, you were right that ancient Greeks had many automatons that were as good as robots, today. Anyway, great quiz. 🙂
Thanks Zaklina! How are you doing? I just posted a new quiz and it got approved. Have you taken it yet?
No, but I am going to see it right now. 🙂
I got 3 out of 10
oh well great quiz anyway
6/10 not so bad!
But I have a remark. The word robot does not come from Greece “robota.” 🙂
Great quiz!
I know. I was creating this quiz at like 4AM when I made it.
Interesting read Andrew. I was shocked by the waterproof phone percentage in Japan.
That one got me by surprise too Floraine!
5 out 10. That was such a fun quiz! I loved it!!! =D
4 of 10, good thing I know my QWERTY keyboard!
4 correct
Only 4 correct.
I’d like to dispute the answer to question five; Robot is always credited as a Czech word in everything else I’ve ever read…
hahaha! got only 2 out of 10..
I got 3 only!
I did not do well but fun quiz
Very interesting 6/10
Nice
3 out of ten, not so good Lol!
6/10 Fun quiz!
I got 3/10 sorry I did not know much at all, but I look forward to learning more about your insight of technology. Thanks for the quiz
Got 4/10…mind-boggling quiz…good job Andrew
Thanks!
Welcome 🙂
You got 4 out of 10 right!
That was not a fun fact quiz, Andrew, lol…Number 8 is my favorite..I can look at the keyboard, haha!
4/10. At least I learned something new
2/10! The big question is, how many of these essential facts will I have forgotten by the time of the next trivia quiz at the local pub?!
That’s a good question.
Five out of ten.
It was not great (only 1), but I learned a lot!
What’s count is that you learned something out of it right?
🙂 🙂
got 2 out of 10 right!
6/10…did okay. Good quiz!
6/10 here, that was fun.
2/10 🙂 #5 is wrong though: the word is from Czech, not Greek. See http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=robot&allowed_in_frame=0
I submit this quiz when I was half asleep. I know #5 is wrong Norman.
We’ve all done it 🙂
You got 2 out of 10 right!
Bad day, right?
Didn’t do great, but I learned a lot! That’s what matters!
That’s good Nicole!
4 out of 10. I got number one right because the nickname of my granddaughter born in 1212 is Siri
4 out of 10 – not so great. Some very interesting things in there though. The 4am alarm is very funny 🙂
