This photo was snapped from my deck last year. Now the field is full of new homes. You can see a flock of wild turkeys, and cows in the background. They are all gone now.
Houses replaced the animals. Not what I had in mind when I moved here. I loved seeing the cows and other wildlife from my deck.
Nothing to do now but stay and accept or move. Not ready to move.

Great picture. We don’t have any wild turkeys here in the UK.

No (7 votes) – 44%
We are losing a lot of free space and with them some of the terrain of some species of animals. This is a very sad fact.
Yes and it is so sad for all of the animals.
Very nice capture here Carol. A great one for sharing.
Thanks, just sad that they are now gone.
That’s a beautiful picture, thanks for sharing
Thank you, I am just sad that they are now gone.
wistful.
That is how I feel.
Narnia is a magical place.
The changes are not welcomed.
Wistful.
I see you are sharing a new word Doc. I feel the same. But we cannot change progress. I do still have the sunsets… for now.
that is very true –
yeah I miss the pictures you shared of the cows!
I jave never seen a wild turkey. The world is increasing in population, thus open areas will soon be filled up.
It is a very sad situation for our wildlife. Breaks my heart.
It’s sad. And, very soon we will be in conflict with wild animals as they habitats will no longer exist.
Lovely to see land and natural nature, I love the turkeys..
Thanks Pam, I am just sad that they are now gone.
Yes, awful to see the fields and livestock go..agree with you
Beautiful photo , thanks for haring
Thanks for visiting and commenting.
When I was holidaying in the US I did see a few roaming the streets which then I was told would not be tolerated. Poor turkeys.
Never seen them on the streets. I am in a rural area and there are a lot of woods around, which is where they live. In this field, they were out looking for food probably.
That certainly is a lot of turkeys there. You should have caged some for Thanksgiving,
Yes there were several families together here. I loved to see them roam free.
Makes me sad that I never see them any more due to the houses.
I’ve never seen wild turkeys. Unfortunately, buildings do not grow in all possible places, no one thinks of animals
The houses have taken over around here unfortunately.
I am glad I took this photo when I did, the cows are gone as well.
I didn’t know that there are wild turkeys.
Yes these are wild and roaming freely in the woods.
This was several families all together.
I have seen them but only abroad. The photo is stunning.
Thanks so very much Fortune.
I wish I could still see them around here.
We also have a lot of wild turkeys here, and they just seem a little different to me, dear Carol
I posted the wrong photo, you can barely see these, I will have to do another post another day.
