I continue with the challenge that Ileana started. The rules have been slightly modified. This week’s theme is swans.
I made this picture when visiting a lake, which I also visit several times. I have never seen so many swans together.
The swan is a migratory bird and one of the heaviest birds to fly. Despite its size and awkward gait, it is a very elegant aircraft and reaches speeds of up to 65 km per hour. If the weather is favorable and the winter is mild, the swan winters at the place of its summer stay.

I already visited it ….. as soon as I saw so many swans on the pile I knew it was Lake Zbiljsko

I prefer to visit this place during the week because there are not many people. On the weekends everything is full.
i understand that – i remember spending summers at my grandparent’s house (they lived on a lake) by July the lakes was crowded on the weekends you could also walk across the top of boats and cross the lake!
They are not swans on the lakes in the city where I live, but I had the opportunity to see them in other places in my country. They are beautiful birds. Thank you for joining this challenge.
Thank you. In our country, lakes are quite far from big cities. It seems that the swans do not like cities. 😊
There is a park about 15 km away that I like to visit. White and black swans and many other bird species live there. In this lake where they were they were a whole colony. Beautiful view.

These days – thanks to lockdown fauna are seen moving about freely. Hope they continue to do so.
